Great For Freshwater Anglers Too.
"This is an excellent rod for any angler that bait fishes for large stripers, catfish, carp, sturgeon, or any other large species. It has a nice sensitive tip with tons of backbone. It is nearly indestructable and has the quality of rods many times its price. Maybe someday I will get mine to the saltwater where I am sure it will perform just as well as it does for me for all the large freshwater species I fish for."

Great Salt Water Rod,November 15, 2007

"I don't get to go Salt Water fishing much but while on a charter out of San Diego I noticed that 80% of the poles were Ugly Stick Tiger rods. I caught my first tuna and a barracuda using this rod and it had plenty of back bone and the quality of the rod is what I expected out of an Ugly Stick as I have used various models for over 25 years. It looks like the Salt Water Anglers also can have a good quality, reliable Ugly Stick rod too."

"I use this rod for bait fishing for large stripers and catfish. It works excellent, has plenty of back bone along with a nice sensitive tip to detect even the small bites. I recently reeled in a large tree limb, many other have hooked it before because I found 6 lures and many hooks and sinkers entagled in the branches."
