Designed for the shallow-water angler, this super-strong Ande Back Country Line is made with the right properties to satisfy every saltwater angler. Offering superior abrasion resistance and very little memory, this line is almost invisible underwater. Although this durable line is designed for back country fishing, it’s also very effective in the flats and some offshore conditions too.

My favorite line,August 2, 2009
By fisherman45
Advantages: Ease of use, Performs well, Quality, Style/Design, Value for money
"This is the greatest line I have ever tried! I've tried Stren, Trilene Flourocarbon, Trilene Sensation, Trilene XL, Fireline, P-Line and Power Pro and this line beats all of them in everything. It holds knots well, it's incredibly strong, low memory and it casts great! I use it on all my reels in the 10 pound test so I ca throw all my 1/8 oz lures on my baitcaster too. Buy this line and you will not be disappointed!"

Strongest Monofilament that I have used,July 8, 2009
By massbasserfrom Franklin, MA
Advantages: Ease of use, Performs well, Quality, Value for money
"I have to say this is best monofilament on the market today. I have used the 15lb. on my heavy freshwater/light saltwater combo and it has performed flawlessly. I use mostly fluorocarbon line now but at times I want a little stretch in my offerings and this line fits the bill. This is top notch line and a good value too and may I add that it looks cool on an Abu ambassadeur Record with it's blue color."

Great line for fresh and saltwater,May 5, 2009
By aMpEnRgY1
"I purchased this line after watching a video of a guy comparing some lines, in the end, this was the strongest, and had the most abrasion strength, so I bought it, and wasn't sure if I would like it or not, but I love it, it is an outstanding line, fishes great in the flats, and even fishes well up here for bass to crappie, just a good line, and over 1,000yrds for the price, unbeatable."

Ande's Got A Winner Here,April 19, 2008
By bassharier
"Started buying this line about 4 years ago after reading a book about a fishes vision and what they really see. I'm not going to go into detail about the results of the tests. But lets just say, I used to use Ande tornament Green or Big Game because it blended in better with vegetation. Not anymore. Back Country is just as supple, strong, exellent knot strength, castabilty ect. Easily my favorite line these days. And my larger clear water fish are all the proof I need."

"I buy Ande Spools by the dozens almost. At this moment I currently have 13 1/2 pound spools sitting in my car and garage. Why? This line is simply outstanding and has never let me down. Now Ande line doesn't have all the answers and if I had to spool up with another line it would be P-Line CX. However, for price, performance, and piece of mind Ande really does take the cake. My only complaint is that I find it's really not a cold weather line but I live in TX where winters are in the 50's so I am not the best judge. 12 and 15 is ideal for 95% of bay fishing situations."

Simply Awesome,January 13, 2008
By Aquaman37from Rhode Island
"This line is by far the toughest, most abrasion resistant line I have ever used. I have torture tested this line surfcasting for striped bass on rocky New England shorelines. I have had fish from the teens to 40# class run this line through and over boulders, kelp beds, mussel beds, and barnacles, and I have never had this line break. Not only is it tough, but it's smooth and casts like a dream on top of that. And the knot strength is fantastic as well. I've used this line in 12, 15, and 20 lb test and have caught stripers, blues, albies, bontio, fluke, and blackfish using this line and it preformed brilliantly in every scenario. I highly recomend it."
