"I own the 842-2 7' spinning rod. I got it for my birthday. Simply put --- it's the best thing since sliced bread. I'm a avid crappie fisherman, and the sensitivity, and feel of the rod is just amazing. It's the type of rod, that if you have other rods (even other quality rods), you'll have to leave this one at home, if you ever what to use them on a fishing trip. It will cause you to only want to fish with it. It's simply that good. I own several other rods --- different brands, and even some other g loomis rods, but this 842-2 is simply the best. You will not --- I repeat NOT be disappointed if you purchase this rod. I know the price is high compared to others, but it's a dream to fish with, and in my opinion well worth the cost."

"I own 21 G.Loomis freshwater rods, 5 fly rods and 6 saltwater rods. I am not paid in any way, shape or form by G.Loomis (wish I was). Quite simply they "make the difference between a good day on the water , and one you can't stop talking about". Let me put this in a better perspective. For every 3 rods I buy, I buy my wife a Coach purse and wallet combo. It has been our "arrangement" for years. With this in mind, I still consider G.Loomis a value for the money. Nuff said."

"I have fished all 6 of my GLX rods very hard for going on 8 years for some of them. They are sensitive enough to feel the fish breath on the bait, strong enough to power the fish out of deep weeds, yet light enough to fish these rods all day long without have numb fingers or tired hands. Treat them well and you will have them forever. Buy one of these guys and unfortunately you will not want to fish another rod. This by far is the best rod on the market bar none."
