Great for any fisherman!,January 25, 2008

"I bought one of these jig molds with a gift card I got to BPS for Christmas. I LOVE IT!!! It's the best thing I've bought in a while. This mold makes it possible to create and make your own jigheads. I was tired of searching every jighead in the store trying one that was the right weight in the right color with the right size hook, and then having to settle for something that wasn't quite perfect. Now with the Do-it molds, you can fully customize your jigheads. You can make them in any weight with whatever hook size fits your needs and paint it whatever color you want. The possibilities are endless. It may seem a little expensive now, but will save tons of money in the long run. You could buy jigheads from the store for anywhere from $2-10 for 10 or spend less than $50 now and make as many as you want, forever. All you need is the mold, lead, hooks, paint, a camping stove, and a small iron skillet. The first 5 can be bought at BPS and I got a 4in iron skillet for $3 at a pottery warehouse. And you can probably find a camping stove stashed away in the garage somewhere. I bought some bank sinkers that added up to 32oz for about $6. That will make 256 1/8oz jigheads! This is a very easy project and is lots of fun. You can even do it with your kids. It has given me something to do in my spare time during the cold weather months, and I will be ready to fish all the jigs I can imagine when spring rolls around. This is a great gift for your favorite fisherman or for yourself."
