Tackle big fish like catfish, striper, and largemouth bass. These rods have plenty of backbone and muscle, yet without large diameters and weight. The secret is in the unidirectional fiberglass construction that eliminates the layering normally found in fiberglass rods. This process also adds flexibility, eliminating premature breakage and stress on the wrist. Features an extended EVA foam handle, for extra power and fighting leverage, that easily fits in rod holders, heavy-duty double foot aluminum oxide guides, hook keeper for pre-rigging and sensitive graphite reel seat.

Big fish small fisherwoman!
"Responisible for catfish 44#, 48# and 56 lbs and many, many smaller cats. Own (4) and they have never let me down. Don't plan on the pole flip to help your cast. Pretty stiff, which enables control on larger fish but requires more body in your cast."

Very decent rod!,May 25, 2008
By Bassmackerfrom Texas
"bought the 6'6 Medium Heavy a while back for fishing in the Florida Back Country waters and it held up really nicely my first trip when I caught an 8 pound Bluefin Tuna in the deep water and a 10 pound Gag Grouper. I also ended up catching a lot of pan fish, and was very surprised on how sensitive it was for a fiberglass rod this heavy. I also use it for Catfishing back in Texas, haven't landed any substantially sized cats or carp, but this is definitely a great rod for the price!"

HORRIBLE ROD,April 10, 2008
By BassManNewMexicofrom Rochester, NY
"This rod was the worst rod I've ever used. The rod broke while fighting a little 10lber. Pay an extra $40 and get the Ugly Stik Catfish Rod"

heavy fishing,June 14, 2007
By fishinman20
"i bought the seven and a half foot rod and use it for catfish and carp, but also use it for muskie and other big fish. this rod has never failed and is also great for my traveling. it brakes apart into two pieces easily and is put back together in seconds. overall a great rod for heavy fishing."
