"I have used bonnets for years, i find that the joy of not having to untangle hooks from my vest pocket as well as the fact that my vest doesnt have hook s stuck in them, that use to rip holes in my vest, makes these bonnets very very handy. Not to mention no cut fingers, from trying do dig out lures.."

"I bought these hook bonnets for my husband-he is thrilled! They are perfect for his upcoming fishing adventure! The bonnets are applied easily and help prevent tangling of his luers. The assortment has just the right number of each size for his various luers. Now he can reach into his tackle box without fear of being stabbed by unproteced hooks."

"I have used these hook bonnets before and have tried other brands from other tackle suppliers. Thes afre by far the best. They are the best sizes; fit the best and easiest to work with. The color cding makes them even more cnvenient when trying to find the correct one on the water in the middle of changing lures, taking one out of the tackle box and putting one back or just laying it aside. I no longer have to worry about stepping on an open hook when fishing."

"This is the fourth time that I have have ordered this product in that my tackle box keeps growing. Now I would not put a lure in my box without using a hook bonnet. It just makes storing and using lures so much easier and the 3 sizes are just a plus. I have turned all my fishing buds onto this item and they have yet to disappoint. This item is very deserving of a 5 star rating."

To be hooked or not to be hooked.

Advantages: Ease of use, Style/Design, Performs well, Value for money, colors add ease of selection
Disadvantages: requires a little effort to remove
"I have owned an used many a hook bonnet. Anyone who has used them knows that its a smart thing. They prevent so many little mishaps. If you have ever reached into the bottom of a disorganized tackle box and been snagged, you know this. If you've taken your kid or a group of them fishing and watched them rumage through your tackle box, you know this.
These hook bonnets are a smart fit to all your treble needs. The sizes provided have covered the gamit of treble hooks on all my lures. From my monster stripped bass collection, down to my smallest panfish lure.
I seen bonnets designed of hard plastics with extensions for easy removal, to these of a more supple plastic. the truth be told, these remove as easily as any I've used and the colors make them stand out when you're looking for the right size. For the money, the best I've ever used thus far.
Safety may not be the first thing you think of when you purchase your next lure, but it should be. Manufactures of these products should consider selling them with the bonnets already on them. I usually buy my lures in numbers greater than one. My wife has often said I look like a kid at Christmas as rip through packaging to get to my prize. In doing so, I've hooked myself more than once.
So, if you don't want to be hooked. Be smart, be safe, darn it, use a bonnet.

"I use a plano 3700 storage box for my crankbaits my brother recommended the hook bonnets when he saw me pull out a wad of crankbaits out of the box and spend 5 mins pulling them apart. They really take up little extra room and you grab the bait you want and it comes out alone. . .Amazing! You also preserve the finish on the crankbaits because they don't scratch up each other. This is good because I have a few custom painted baits that I paid a lot for. I don't mind them getting abused in the water but why should they get messed up in the box."
