"This is the only line I use on my baitcasters. Have slung several fish in the boat that weighted over 5lbs. I have never had a breakoff that was the lines fault."

"This line is garbage running 17 pound test on a johnny morris and it snaps on casting. Lost two strike king jigs with in 10 minutes of each other. The lose of lures would of paid for a better line. Horrible memory and don't go near cover like pads or stumps or kiss your sanity goodbye. seguar line is way better."

"Vanish is the only flourocarbon i use, its amazing. I dont understand how people can give it such bad reviews. I bass fish and use it on my spinning reel and it hasnt snapped once. I use t in 14 lb test and i can still finesse fish and drop shot with no problem. The fish dont seem to see it at all. Will buy again"

BAD LINE!!!!

"Ok, so I decided to try and save some money on line. BAD idea. Purchased the 8LB to use on spinning gear. First off it has too much memory. The line develops bad memory loops even if spooled under perfect tension. Second, it is prone to breaks. Not breaks due to fish weight but breaks due to damage. Damage that was caused by weeds. This line is too brittle. I should have stayed with my Pline."

"Unfortunately, I didn't read the reviews here before buying but bought mostly on the Berkley brand name. Absolutely the wost line ever. First time out, I had 8 hookups and 8 line breaks. I'm surprised that I had any hookups at all as most of my time on the water was spent contending with an unrelenting stream of birds nests. I enjoy Berkley products, but I would never use this line again."

"I have had pretty good results with Vanish. Never had it break, or any knot problems. I have even got lazy and put it back in the water damaged and still not had a problem. I mostly use it for leader. I was trolling for Trout+Salmon my brother was using Reg mono,@ catching nothing. After my 8th fish he put on Vanish @ started hooking up. I have had it jump off and tangle for no reason on my spinning reels. P.S Berkley's line counter is very poor quality, maybe that's why BPS does not sale them."

"I have use this and other fluorocarbon lines. The cost is the best attribute of the line. It seems to be somewhat prone to damage. I fish using tungstun weights and seem to have issues where the weight hits the line at the hook. I find it necessary to check and often retie the line to keep from breaking the line on hooksets. It spools well in my opinion and has very low memory."

"I FISH FOR TROUT ONLY AND USE AN ULTRALITE ROD AND SPINNING REEL.I LIKE 4LB TEST LINE AND I HAVE TRIED MANY OF THEM; BELIEVE ME.I PUT THIS ON MY REEL CORRECTLY AND EVEN STRETCHED IT IN MY YARD BEFORE I WENT FISHING AND IT APPEARED VERY LIMP; THAT'S GOOD.AT THE STREAM I WAS IN TROUBLE AFTER THE SECOND CAST AS THE LINE TANGLED , TWISTED, KNOTTED AND LOOPED FOR NO REASON.ALSO, MY CASTING DISTANCE WAS GREATLY DIMINISHED.THIS IS JUST ANOTHER WASTE OF MONEY FLUROCARBON LINE THAT WILL NOT WORK ON A SPINNING REEL I THINK THE COLD WATER MAKES IT EVEN WORSE.WHY DO I KEEP FALLING FOR THE HYPE AND TRYING OTHER LINES WHEN P-LINE IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST THERE IS??"

"I picked up a couple spools of 2 pound Vanish at the outlet store and found it to be the best 2# trout line I've used. great knot strength and castability and in the clear water of Lake Taneycomo it seems the fish just don't see it. Had a little more trouble with the four pound line - it is stiffer and doesn't handle as well, but that can be expected for the larger line."

"I used the 8lbs. test line and was not impressed. I lost one lure trying to bring a fish in the boat and the line broke. I lost two other lures when casting. The line broke right as I was about to release the lures. I was not happy."

"This is great fishing line. I use it as 6X tippet for fly fishing and it is so much cheaper to by this fluoro than actual fluoro tippet and it is about the same diameter. Buy it if you fish with 6X tippet you will love it for the price! This is the 2 lb line but I mainly fish with the 4 lb Vanish and the breaking strength is awesome on the 4 lb. You do have to be careful with the 2lb. Fluoro lays down on the water a lot straighter than Mono."

"This is the worst fluorocarbon I have ever used. I figured I would try a cheeper line to start, but it was horrible. It twist from the very beging, and knotted up all the time and I made sure it was put on the reel right. I have talked to other people who used this, and they agreed, This line is trash and don't buy it. I go with Vicious, it is the same price, and I havent had a problem with it yet."

"Birdnested quite a bit for the initial time out. Strength was GREAT. The biggest issue was distance, or a TOTAL lack thereof. I lost a third of the distance that I am used to. It was the 10# line, and I was using a 6'6" Abu Verdict spinning Rod, Medium action, with a Shimano Saros 2500 reel. This line is simple not up to par with REALLY good fluro. Don't skimp and get the good stuff. You won't regret it."
