Storm STORM® Suspendots™ and SuspenStrips™ Weights

Fine-tune your suspending lure quickly and easily with STORM's weighted adhesive SuspenDots! Or, for bulk weighting of larger, very buoyant lures, use SuspenStrips! The SuspenDots and SuspenStrips are two very efficient methods for modifying your favorite lures without drilling holes-and they come off as easily as they go on.

suspend dots a must have

Advantages: Ease of use, Style/Design, Performs well, Value for money, Quality
Disadvantages: not for bank fishing applications
"From a boat, suspending crankbaits are deadly but rarely suspend straight out of the box. At best they rise to the surface slower than nonsuspending. With these dots or stips on the belly of your crankbait, add just the right amount to make it sit flat when you stop reeling without sinking or rising. Now your ready to start catching, use a stop and go method. Pull hard to get it down in the zone and stop for 10 to 30 seconds and go again. Especially around points and straight up & down rock faces. Stop anytime you get a swing and a miss. Oh yea, be sure to hang on."

"The Storm Suspendots/strips are excellant products; I use them primarily to get a crankbait to run deeper without having to do major modifications to the bait. Easy to apply and they stay where they are placed."

"These SuspenDots are incredible! I had so many times that I needed just a little extra weight and could not find a sinker to do the trick. These SuspenDots are light, easy to use, and stay on perfectly. My favorite time to use them is on the shank of a hook when I throw a Stanley Jigs Hot Feet Ribbit or Strike King Rage Tail Toad."

Do Not Favor Suspend Dots / Strips

,
May 16, 2010
By JustAnotherFisherman
Advantages: Ease of use, Value for money
Disadvantages: Performance, Durability
"I purchased these to place on a bait which I was going to later have custom weighted, etc.
Once you have any moisture on your hands or the baits, the adhesive is not as good. Further, if you double down on them in the same spot, they will start to fall off. I was not able to complete my testing as they started to come off.
The above said, before you start thinking to hard on it, I was NOT working the bait aggressively. Literally just pitching it, not casting, from the bank just far enough to test the action with gentle pulls of the rod.
Lastly, the adhesive will leave residue on your bait. Luckily this is easily removed by using WD-40 but, still, it is annoying. What this means is that you can add and remove or shift the weights around very easily at all.
At least it's cheap."

A MUST FOR HARDBAIT FISHERMAN

,

"A concept thats been around awhile. The suspend a dot just makes it easier. How a lure suspends depends alot on water density. So you can adjust this by removing or adding dots. You can make lures run a little deeper or reduce the boyancy. I keep a couple of sheets in each crankbait box."
