"The Original Road Runner is the absolute go to jig in my tackle box. When the fish don't want to bite I just have to throw on a 1/4 oz Chart. Road Runner and catch anything and everything! I even caught an 8 pound catfish when I let it drop just a few feet more than I wanted it to. Great jig that lasts a long time and catches A LOT of fish."

"This is the best Roadrunner i have ever used.my friend and I took it to the lake last weekend (chartuse/black/chartruse) and fished it in about 8 foot of water at a medium retrieval speed and brought home two stringers full of crappie. This also produced striped bass, bluegill and largemouth. We only had two and we ended up loosing them. I got home and ordered 10 more! Excellent product! you need this in your tackle box"

Oldie But Goodie, November 19, 2007
By sitruc from Mohave County, Arizona

"I have used the original Blakemore for years, it was originally a crappie jig. But I have never been crappie fishing when I didn't catch another species when using this little jig. Largemouth, Smallmouth, Blue Gill, and even Catfish have a hard time resisting this little jig. Don't let it's small size fool you, it has landed some big fish in it's time, no tackle box should be without a few. Many other companies are offering larger versions for different species of fish also."

Works great from boat or shore..., June 11, 2006
By Tennessee Fisherman from Memphis, Tenn

"I have been using these lures for about 15 years now and I have to say they are my favorite. They are relatively inexpensive compared to other spinnerbaits and work great. I have used them in big lakes, ponds and even rivers and have caught lots of bass, crappie, bluegill and even trout. I recently took my girlfriend fishing and she pulled in a largemouth in about 10 minutes. In short these lures are inexpensive(important for us amateurs) and will catch fish."

ORIGINAL MARABOU ROAD RUNNER IN SMALL LAKES, May 12, 2006
By POPS from Carrollton, Georgia

"On a recent outing on a 15 acre lake in West Georgia, the bite was very slow for both Bass and Crappie. I was using a small spinnerbait that "usually works". I tied on a 1/6 oz yellow Original Marabou and things changed dramatically. While expecting to attract Crappie, it was Bass that began to take the jigs. In short order we boated bass ranging from too small to keep all the way up to 6 3/4 pounds."
