"I was drawn into ugly sticks after hearing how good they were, so i bought the 7 ft, 14-17 pound test model just to see how it would handle... just after 3 months that i got it, BEST ROD EVOR, i have caught 1200 fish from small bunker to 30+ pound stripers and monster blues! This rod paired with a penn reel, can withstand the test of time, and harsh saltwater. and very big fish! I will definetly be using more ugly stics in the future"

AN OUTSTANDING ROD, November 27, 2006

"I have used this rod for years. In fact, it is one of the very first Ugly Stiks! Very sensitive tip. No problems other than it is getting so old I will have to rewrap the guides soon. I use it mainly as a catfish rod at Clearlake, California. Most of my fish run 12 to 20+ pounds. The Ugly Stik handles them with ease. Last week I bought a new ugly stick. This one is a ultra light that I will use for trout fishing. I caught a 19 inch rainbow on Lake Berryessa with it the first time out.
Would I recommend the Ugly Stik? YOU BET ! ! !"

"for use in fresh or saltwater the best rods i have ever bought.. since my first one 3 years ago i have replaced all of my other rod with ugly stick they truly stand the test of time.."
