Gamakatsu Gamakatsu® Round Bend Treble Hooks

"Whenever I need to replace my crankbait treble hooks (and if I am able to get them off their split rings) I go with these. I'm a big fan of all of gamakatsu hooks and this product just reaffirms my belief that gamakatsu makes the sharpest hooks out there!
On a side note, never, NEVR drop one of these on the ground by accident. Cuz if you step on them you're going to see just how many curse words you know. Ask me how I know lol"

"They make great hooks. Ultra sharp and hold a point for a long time without having the point bend over. Bought these hooks to make stingers for walleye fishing and couldn't be happier with the end product."

"I have been using these hooks for nearly 20 years
and they never let me down.The first order of business with a new bait is to change the hooks to Gamakatsu trebles.I use size #4and #6 for most baits,occaisionally #2 ,they have all shown to be superior to any other replacement hook I have tried ,and I think I have tried them all.I would like to see B.P.S. carry the short shank version which I use when the bait dictates it."

"Absolutely the finest replacement treble hook around. Scary sharp out of the box and they don't break when twisted around. Some of the trebles out there are too brittle and end up breaking when stressed, like when stuck to a log or a chunky bass. Gamakatsu hooks just bend right back to original form.

"I have always had good luck with the EWG hooks not only hooking fish but keeping them hooked. they are very sharp. I have to be careful when trying to pick up lures with EWG hooks as a slight touch is all it takes to get stuck with a hook."

"These hooks are and upgrade to almost anything that comes attached to a lure, I like to use the EWG hooks on my shallow running and small bodied crank baits, however I am not totally sold on these hooks, I think if they fit your fishing style for one kind of lure then you should use them for sure, however I would try out a few different kinds of hooks to see what works best for you. I got these hooks because I had a shallow running Strike King lure that had never landed a fish, I would get plenty of bits, get good sets, but the seemed to shake me every time so I put on some of these babies and pulled out a solid pig on my next trip!"

"Gamakatsu is most likely one of the best hooks you can buy. I have used there EWG hooks for Bass and love them. They are very sharp right out of the pack and are very strong. So when it came time to replace my treble hooks I thought what better hook then a Gamma. I know most hooks need to be touched up a bit when new, but out of the 20 hooks I bought I was lucky to find 2 that were sharp enough for me to fish with. I had to spend hours sharping them to get them were I was happy to fish with them. I bought two more packs from a different store to see if the first lot was defective, but the second lot was the same as the first dull as rocks only one hook in 20 trebles did not need to be sharpened. Thats 3 out of 60 hooks that were dull I think that is a very poor ratio. They were #6 and #4 hooks. I feel Owner makes a better Treble hook. I am all so a bow hunter and know how to sharpen broad heads so you can shave with them,fishing to me is just like bow hunting if it's not razor sharp you are just asking for trouble and may lose the fish of a life time. Remember a bad day fishing is better then a good day at work be safe and have fun."

"I have been using the EWG hooks on all my lipless crankbaits and hardly ever miss a hit. I use them as replacements on all my crankbaits especially ones that come without quality hooks to begin with. The regular round bend works well too, but I have found for me the EWG rarely loses a fish once it is hooked. They are extremely sharp and will hold this sharpness for the life of the hook. This is an excellent quality hook and also works wonders for bait fishing with any type of power bait, catfish dough baits, etc."

"ANYONE WHO FISHES FOR SMALLMOUTH WITH JERKBAITS OR CRANKBAITS WILL APPRECIATE JUST HOW SHARP THESE HOOKS ARE. MANY TIMES WHEN A SMALLMOUTH GOES AIRBORNE AND THROWS THE LURE THE REAR HOOK WILL SWING AROUND AND BODY HOOK THEM. OVER 25% OF THE SMALLMOUTH I CATCH ARE BODY HOOKED. I AM LOSING WAY LESS FISH OF ALL TYPES SINCE USING GAMA TREBLES AND I'VE TRIED THEM ALL. I OWN ABOUT 250 HARDBAITS SO IT CAN BE AN EXPENSIVE PROPOSITION, BUT ITS WORTH IT !!! AT LEAST CHANGE THE REAR HOOKS"
