"Best value for your money under 4 bucks you will get top class line, same kind of other brands are around 10 bucks and keep this in mind this line is less in price but you will not get less quality or strength. I have used from 4lbs to 25lbs test in all kind of weathers and never been dissappionted with the quality. I had this line on my reel through last winter and summer, been beat up pretty much all year long still last week when i took it out it was strong, no coils very low memory, great castability and i manage to pull out some nice bass from heavy weed."

"This is the best line for the price out there. If you are fishing on a budget, and many of us are these days, this is the line for you. The knot strength is good and much better then I expected. the line doesn't fray very easily and will hold up to fish that weigh more then the pound test shown. Over all is a very good buy."

"i haven't tried actually spooling up a reel with this line. i bought the 8 lb test for using as leaders for bait rigs going after trout in colorado. works fine. pulled in a few good sized rainbows. i thought using spiderwire stealth was spooking the fish because most of the lakes i go to are very clear and the spider wire is quite visible. seems like my catch rate has improved a little."

"We bought this to have some line for a Colorado fishing trip. Held up really well. My dad fought a 15 lb pike up to the shore but it threw the hook unfortunately. The line held up to the pikes teeth. He was using the ten pound. It had good knot and line strength and it was really castable. Impressive for 4 dollars."

"The Tough Tourney line seems decent for the price, but really exemplefies the need to spend about three times this much on a quality fishing line.
Firstly, it does fish well, and seems accurate to the test rating. The clear line is pretty clear and 4 pound test does a great job on panfish with ultralight tackle. The line seems pretty slippery, and probably has low friction on the guides, as it slips out of my fingers pretty often when I'm trying to tie on my lure.
The line is kind of stiff, however, which, coupled with the slickness of the line, makes tying knots more frustrating than it ought to be. I can still get the job done, but it sure leaves me wanting something better.
My main complaint is that this line apparently came with about a million twists in it. It was very frustrating to spool onto my reel initially because of this. After casting as far as I could with it, I was able to get most of the twists out of the last 50 or so feet on my reel, but whenever I have to cut off a tangle and start fishing with previously uncast line (frequent, with this line), I'm dealing with twisted, easily tangleable line once again."

"This line is so great, I really cant understand why anybody would give it less than five stars! It has extreme castability, minimal memory, stretch is no problem. The abrasion resistance and strength of this line is another great thing, considering its price. I recently had trouble with some of the line I had that was great line, but after a few days of fishing in the sun, it would be damaged and gain a lot of memory that it didn't have before. But I had a spare spool of this, and after noticing how bad my other line was, I put this on and it was great! The price is unbeatable, I recommend it!"

"Not at all happy w/ the 12lb line on my spinning reel. Open the bail & it jumps off. Too much memory for my likings. Had several breaks at the knot as well. After one bad outing, in the trash it goes."

"I used this line and to be honest, I downsize my line and fish relying on properly set drag and really testing my skill landing fish I should be using larger line with. I found this to be acceptable, but feel it is not as abrasion resistant as stren or other lines I have used. I would not probably go out of my way to buy this, but would buy it on sale for panfishing."

"I came to Bass Pro one day to find a good quality fishing line to fill my spool with. Then I noticed that I've never tried the Bass Pro brand. The 'hard-to-beat' price was what really caught my attention. Since most Bass Pro products have a good reputation, I decided to give this line a chance. It just so happens that this brand is now one of my top choices of fishing lines, because it can withstand the fish the fisherman and the environment. The knots I tie are strong, it's abrasion resistant and the line meets its breaking strength. I figured this out by performing a few tests with #12 test myself. I've also experimented with different knots and found out the top 2 knots were the palomar and the snell knot. These results were only with the #12 test. If you plan to buy a good quality fishing line, try this line, because you can't go wrong with a small price to pay for such a great line and like it says, it's TOURNEY TOUGH!"
