"Pros:
These are everything they claim & then some!! the black color like I bought blends in & makes it hard to see, yet these things are indestructable as far as I can tell. A dozen 20 pound catfish later & they are no worse for wear.
I should have bought these from the start!!! I plan on buying lots more.
Cons:
have not found any.

Advantages: Ease of use, Performs well, Value for money, Quality
Disadvantages: low breaking strength
"This leader will definetly help keep toothy critters on the line. Also, it has low memory and straightens out very well. The only thing about this product is I wish it was produced with higher breaking strength. Overall, it is a great product that I will continue to buy."

Tough leaders for fresh water

"Was headed to Canada for Northern Pike fishing and needed to restock leaders. Always fished Berkley and was having trouble finding enough of them so I tried some of these (45lb 24in). When I received them in the mail I didn't think the clips would hold up so I ordered some Berkley clips. I ended up getting the wrong clips in the mail from a competing site and had to test these as is. Just got back and this leader is the only leader that didn't fail. I was honestly surprised. The leader looks well built, but I didn't trust the clip. Now I trust it. I had others test it as well. Not one break or lost fish. The fishing wasn't good this year, but was able to test it on a couple over 40inches and many 35-40 inches."

poor wraps

,

"I purchased several packages of the 30# 6" leaders to use on the 4 arm umbrella rigs for freshwater striped bass. In the last 3 fishing trips I have lost a total of 7 fish because the wraps failed to hold or the swivels failed. 5 were because of wraps not holding and 2 from failed swivels. The first trip I boated 12 fish, avg. wt 4.65 lbs. ea. and lost 2 to tackle. Second trip I boated 10 fish avg. wt. 4.5 lbs. ea. and lost 2 to tackle. third trip I boated 10 fish avg wt. 4.87 lbs. ea. and lost 3 to tackle. The largest was 28.5 in. and 8.5 lbs. Not only is losing fish dissapointing, but leaving a fish to swim away or worse, to die, with a large spinnerbait lodged in it's lip is not acceptable."

"We use the BO6A 04 colar in Canada for all Fish (Bass,Northern Pike, Walleye, Muskie will also hit this bait) as we have found the action on this bait is better for this kind of fishing on average than any bait that I have found!!!
We keep at least 18/24 of these in each tackle box and have for years of fishing in the Lake Of The Woods!!"

"Just got back from Canada fishing for Muskie for the first time in my life. I read these and other reviews of several leaders and was wondering which one to use.
I'll tell you I was more than hesitant to buy these after the bad reviews I read ..........but there was not much choice, so I got these. used the 9" 30lb the whole time. My last cast of the final day fishing I hooked a giant Muskie. The leader held and I landed it in the boat with the help of my great guide. The fish measured 49" and the guide said it would be about a 30 pounder.
The leader did it's job and I went home with the fishing trip of a life time.

Braided for Blues!

"I use the steel leaders when I ish in the Gulf of Mexico fishing for Blues. With those razor like teeth you need steel leaders. Overall these are good leaders and prevent the Blues from biting off the bait hook, line and sinker. After a few catches expect the leaders to corkscrew as will all steel after a while. These leaders are a little heavier that what I normally use so I expect they will take more abuse by those monster Blues. I hope to test their strength by catching a small shark this year. I'll let you know."
