"This sharpener's great and straight forward to use. I've spent alot of money over the years on these hand held manual sharpeners, they work OK if you're in a bind ,but nothing compares to this one, should have got this years ago."

Worth every penny, Chef Choice 120,December 18, 2007

"After reading everything thing I could on this sharpener, including all of the info on Chefs Choice web site I was still hesitant to purchase this unit. I am a cabinet maker by trade and have been sharpening everything from knives to chisels to gouges to plane blades by hand for thirty plus years. I have been fishing and hunting all my life and have many good sporting knives. Because of these things I own ALOT of stones, arkansas oil stones and Japanese water stones in a full range of grit sizes and always enjoy using them. Well I finally broke down and bought the model 120 as an early Chirstmas gift to myself. I brought it home and had to try it right away so out came the kitchen knives that were pretty sharp already, so I thought. I am here to tell you that this machine is fabulous, just brilliant. I was blown away by how fast and easy this thing is to operate. As many have said before I was looking around for more knives to sharpen. It does as good or better of a job then I can in a fraction of the time. The standard method to sharpen a plane blade or chisel is to set a primary angle grind then a micro bevel of 2 degrees greater. This is exactly what the Chefs Choice does. It develops a superior edge that is razor sharpen. If you are a pro or complete novice at knife sharpening just bite the bullet and get this unit, if for no other reason than the speed and ease of use. You will not be disappointed."

"being the cautious, frugal person that i am with my time and money. i had some reservation about spending this much on a knife sharpner. my wife even called me a fool for doing so. well now who is the fool now!! ha! all of my knives are razor sharp and we have been able to use knives that i was ready to throw away because i could never get them very sharp using a stone. i even have friends bringing over their knives for me to sharpen once they see how sharp mine are. buy your own people!!!!!!!"

"The best sharpener ever.My knifes after sharpening 3 times were cutting through meat without applying any pressure at all.I bought 2 of those and i would highly reccomend this product with rate 20 Stars not 5.I leave in europe and i couldn't find any descent sharpener for my knifes.My knifes selection is W.M.F. and know i'm very happy that i find this product."
