"This bag is anything but waterproof. Water resistant yes. Nice bag for dry use but don't plan on it working good in a downpoor. Or any heavy rain for that matter. U can't count on it to keep ur stuff dry. I guarantee it! I know at least 4 other people who had these bags, also the same results. If u want a bag to store thing in and put in a storage compartment in ur boat than it's ok. If u want water protection than get a DRYBOX. Remember you were warned."

"We purchased this bag about 8 years ago and it worked just like it said. Then the zipper broke and we bought another just like it. We are now on our third replacement and they have all leaked. We even sprayed waterproofer on it and it still leaked. We sat it in the rain and everything inside the bag was wet. We think the water is wicking in through the zipper. We are not happy with this bag and would not recommend you buy it."

"I bought this bag to consolidate my casting equipment. I feel it is a good value for the money. It seems to be quality made. The coated fabric seems to be durable. I would ask that there be another zipper pocket on the inside if I had to find something wrong with it. When you figure which size you need, get the next size up. That is my only regret."

"I bought the medium boat bag for a canoeing trip last weekend and I couldn't be happier.
The bag kept a complete change of clothes, shoes, a camera, cell phone, wallet, etc. completely dry in spite of rain and wet conditions on the boat.
This is also a great product fir ice fishing. The rugged bottom and robust material looks like it will similarly work out on the ice--keeping snow and moisture away from dry clothes.
This is a great bag for camping fishing, boating, and any other time you need to keep your gear dry."

"i purchased this bag recently and it really does a great job of holding all of my extra gear for a days fishing. it has multiple pockets to hold tools, weigh scale, spare spools, you name it. it also has that hard bottom, so it maintains its' shape and everything stays put. it's a tough one, and i expect this bag to serve me for a long time."

"I have had one of these for 4 years and it is my go-to bag when I fish anywhere other than out of my own boat. I have the medium sized one and I can put several StowAway tackle boxes in it, my worm and jig bags, my Falcon spinnerbait box, and still have enough room for my lunch and some assorted items. Everything stays dry and the semi-rigid bottom keeps everything in order. I highly recommend this bag for anyone who fishes out of somebody else boat on a regular basis."

"I'm starting my 3rd season with my boat bag and love it. I've never had anything get wet in mine, and I've not had the problem another reviewer had with theirs. I use it for storage on my Tracker boat. I've taken it on trips with my friend's Nitro. I've used it on a canoe float trip. Even in a rain storm, things stayed dry inside. Lots of room to boot."

"This is definitely a decent bag for the money. It is very durable, and keeps things dry when you have the the occasional boat spray or light rain. This bag is advertised as being water-resistant. That is definitely is! If you want completely water-proof, look for something else."

"As most BPS products are this one is also quality. Very sturdy and durable bag. Has been on many rafting trips and held up well. Bag is water resistant not water proof. If you soak the bag some of you stuff will get a little damp but a light rain or drizzle everything should stay dry."

"I have quite a few of these bags. I use 2 of the large bags for lifejacket storage in my boat, keeping the stowage area organized. I use 2 of the medium bags for hauling towels, beach toys, dry clothes, etc from the house to the boat and back. I also have a few of the small bags, one I keep on the boat filled with light tackle and lures at all times, and the others are for odds and ends storage.
These bags are not waterproof, but they'll keep gear dry in pretty much all but the worst downpours. They're great for general storage, and boat & beach gear duty.
I highly recommend these bags, just don't expect them to be waterproof. SInce they're not advertised as waterproof, it is not a negative point in my mind. 5 stars!"

"I got this bag not for boating, but for my motorcycle. Sounds weird, but it works great. The bottom is nice and stiff, so it holds its shape while hanging over the sides of the bike. The material is tough and water resistant, so it's good for getting caught in the rain. The compression straps make the bag stable even if not packed to the gills and make a good storage space for a quick access item (like rain gear). The D-rings are good attachment points for strapping everything down. Best of all, it's like 1/2 the price of an average dedicated motorcycle bag."

"This bag is truly a shame. I tried everything to seal the seams so that it would only be damp inside the bag so if I zip locked all the items they wouls stay dry, didn't work. Last trip resulted ti two inches of water, actual measurment, on our last day of fishing. Did catch a lot of walleyes."

"This is the best bag for all outdoor sports. In the northwest where we have rain sometimes all year, a bag like this ensures that your gear will stay dry no matter what the weather conditions are. Inside pockets are very helpful to keep my stuff organized and accessible. I like the outside pull straps. I can have my folding camp chair attached to make transporting all my goods to the soccer field nice and easy for me. My soccer team liked mine so much, I went back and bought one for all of them."
