bass caught on a carolina rig
Advantages: Ease of use, Performs well, Value for money
"when using a carolina rig, always slip one of these plastic beads on after the sinker. they protect the knot from being damaged when the sinker slides down towards the swivel. may not seem like a big deal, but when your casting all day, that's a lot of contact between sinker and knot. plus, the sinker tends to slide up the line more so than when you're fishing a texas rig. could be the difference landing or losing that big 'un!"

Go Glass,February 16, 2009
By Fishingbig0from California, MO
"These are no substitute for glass beads. They are so much quieter when Carolina Rigged. They are cheap and add great color to a Carolina Rig. Add a glass bead to a copper weight and you can add the plastic beads for a great color addition. It's still not a substitute to glass beads."
