Tender Tubes are impregnated with salt. When fish take the lure, they hold it longer as they taste the tempting salt flavor. 3-1/2".

Great bait,August 30, 2009
By Flegelfrom Michigan
"This tube gets plenty of strikes but also cannot take any abuse. I find texas rigged with a BPS tube weight this tube gets mangled to the point of replacement sometimes even without getting any strikes when you are pulling it through weeds. The least durable tube I have seen, but it gets strikes. 4/5"

Bass Pro tubes are awesome!,July 19, 2009
By troy5ringsfrom Central Pa
"I have been using these tubes for years. I bought quite a few packs of various colors several years ago. I have always caught some of my largest smallmouths with these tubes. Today, I took my sons to my "secret" holes on the creek where I grew up. I only had 1 of the 3 1/2" #11's left and tried this while my sons used small jigs. My sons caught quite a few small panfish and bass, but they were wide eyed when they saw their Dad use the #11 with a tube rattle inside, pulling out quite a few 18-20" smallies from the same area they just fished. I've found the best way to fish these tubes is to cast across the stream and allow the natural flow of the water to work them downstream along the bottom while you lift the rod slightly to give them a little hop. Use a tube lead head jig and rattle to get the best affect. Once they hit ,the salt taste makes them hold. Pulling out this tube today created the best fishing in quite a while. Unfortunately, after catching many fish, the tube was getting beat up and the last fish to hit knock it off the jig. My sons definitely want to try these tubes, so I have to order more. All the fish we caught today there thrown back to catch another day. Can't wait to see my young sons pulling in 18-20" smallies on a tube! Awesome lure...give it a try!"

#1 lure in my tacklebox,September 24, 2008
By Gunny53from Knoxville, TN
"I catch more fish (SM & LM) on this bait than anything else in my tacklebox. My favorite color is the golden shiner combined with a BPS 1/8 tender tube jighead. You can skip this tube back under docks, jig it, swim it, or bounce it along the bottom. Fish seem to like the salty taste and hang on. One of these is ALWAYS rigged on my favorite rod everytime I go fishing."

drop shot 'em!,August 10, 2008
By dashaver63from Ohio
"These tender tubes are great drop shot baits. Just fished a tournament on Lake St.Clair and when those smallies want minnows, drop shot the salt and pepper tubes. Caught at least 30 fish on them including a 5+ lb. smallie."

My go to bait.,February 20, 2008
By BigBassTomfrom Morehead, KY
"This is the bait the majority of my fish are caught on. I have more confidence in the Tender Tube than anything else in my tackle boxes. They are extremely versatile baits as well. I have caught fish swimming these over weed beds, casting them and letting them sink to the bottom, and simply working them along the bottom like you would a worm or a jig. They are a bit soft (hence the name, "tender") but I believe thats above anything else is what makes these baits so good. Any of the natural colors seem to work just fine. I do recommend you use the Bass Pro Weedless Tube heads though. They seem to allow for the best hook sets."

Great bait for Smallmouth,February 19, 2008
By Jeebzfrom Elko, NV
"Great bait to catch Smallmouth Bass. These tubes are just the rite size for Smallmouth. They work on a jig head and Texas rigged. They come in great baitfish and great crawdad colors. They last along time fish after fish."

Mid-Summer Smallie Smasher,February 5, 2008
By BigStoneBayfrom Winnipeg, MB
"In mid-summer these tubes are the go-to bait for smallmouth action. Durable and a lot of colors to choose from. Grease up the inside of a #95 with a squirt of Dr. Juice Bass scent, run in a Bite-Me tube jig anywhere from 1/16 to 3/8 oz depending on the conditions, and there's no safe place for a smallie to hide. Wipe that Dr. Juice oil off your hands before you drop a tube in the water 'cause you'll need a good grip on the cork."

Good Tubes,January 26, 2008
By mro513from M-Town, Buckye State
"I took these to a pond with average-sized bass and did pretty good. In about 25 minutes, I got about 4 bass and missed countless others, including a big one that slipped away right at the bank. No fancy motion is requred, but a jerking motion is the best way to retrieve it. I use a light jerk every 3-5 seconds.
I used the white ones. The brown ones did not work at all, so go with the white ones.
If you want better hits, dip them in salt."

Excellent finesse tube,January 12, 2008
By dawg48from Southern Tier, NY
"These tubes are great in early spring when a smaller and slow presention is needed or later on in the season when the bite is slow. Their best fished on rocky and gravel bottoms. I like the watermelon red or black/blue colors the best, I use a xpstube weight,(I prefer the non rattle ones), t-rigged with a 3/0 ewg hook and crawfish Carolina Lunker Sauce scent. I like the fact that you can get your favorite colors in the 25 packs and that is a great savings. I prefer these tubes over jigs any day. Give these a try!"

Great lure!!,December 8, 2007
By BASSFISHINGMASTERMIKEYfrom sterling heights Michigan
"These tubes are awsome!! I have only been out once when this tube didn't catch anything but other than that I have always caught fish. I have caught lots of largemouth and even a nice 2.6 pound smallmouth. Overall this tube is the best, it is very durable even when huge fish attack it.
These tubes are great I would recommend them to all fishermen."

Great Tube,November 15, 2007
By jaisonfrom Roanoke, VA
"I've had a lot of luck with the smoke/pearl around docks at Smith Mountain Lake, VA and Lake Gaston. The tubes are, like the name says, pretty tender. They're not as tough as some other tubes. However, they fall perfectly, hop well and the skirts have good action."

Best all-around tube,January 14, 2007
By Thingamajiggy
"Tender tubes offer the most effective size/color combination I've used for river and lake smallmouth and lake largemouth. Effective when jigged over suspended fish over open bottom, or because of the softness of the tube, makes for a great Texas or Carolina rigged tube in cover. Best tube I've used."
