"I initially bought 4 Power Plus rods (Model 1040# Boat Rods) because they were inexpensive. They would be a good alternative for some of my less experienced customers. I soon discovered these rods performed above my expectations. They have proven very dependable and durable for the last 2 seasons. I use 3 different models of the Power Plus brand with Penn Reels and haven't had a single problem. Don't let the price scare you away from this product, I was pleasantly surprised and will continue to purchase and use the Power Plus brand."

"I'm one of those that spends alot of time going thru catalog's and trips to Bass Pro shops trying to put the right rod and reel combo together. I put my C3 on a #1028 7'6" POWERPLUS downrigger rod and have been enjoying some of the best Flounder action you could ask for,this rod is tough!"

"I purchased the 5'6" model and I use it to pull up Snapper, Grouper, and AJ's with no problem. This rod has excellent construction and has survived many rough trips. I would like to see roller guides offered with this model, but for the price, I am very happy with my purcase."

"These are by far the best rods i have ever used. The rod will pull any size cat right up out of his hole without hardly straining. I personally will never change rods. Why mess with perfection. Put a penn 209m or 220GTO and you have a bulletproof combo for just about all freshwater and some salt"
