"These are pretty good rod holders for the price. I would recommend if you plan on storing your rods vertically. Get the Horizontal rod holder and just use a 2x4 or even the ground as the bottom element. Use the two pieces which would normally be holding a rod vertically as the "upper" piece to hold the rods when vertical. This way you can hold 12 rods vertically vs the usual 6."

"The Berkly rod holder looks good and holds most of my rods. I have thee baitcast (one is my brothers'), one spining, and a spincast (this is my brothers' also) in this holder and it is over our desk. We got the horizontal holder so we can keep our combos together.

"Great for keeping orginized but mounting hole are 12" apart and the wall studs are 16" on center so need to put some other type of of way to mount on the wall. Wouldn't hold any weight over time and come out of the drywall.Will hold 4 spinners on each set I bought 2 so it could hold my 8 rods and reals that way."

"I have 2 of these up in the garage. They hold well. Kind of tight when you have all the filled with the reels and line, but work great. Great for a gift. Cheap to buy. Keeps your gear from piling up in the corner."

Handy especially for people with limited room.,March 2, 2008

"This is a good product at a nice price. I used this for a while before I bought a large rack to hold my growing collection.
I have two complaints and they are relatively minor. The first is that the vertical rack almost holds combos. I had to do a little creative maneuvering to get most of my combos there. Secondly if the racks were a little longer, they could solve the first problem and also allow the mount to be put into studs on 16" centers. Drywall held but I am OCD about hanging things so hitting studs would be nice.
But overall the product does what is intended."

"I live in a small apartment while attending college and these things really help keep my rods organized and out of the way. They are very handy and they seem to hold up well. I got bot the horizontal and the vertical and I feel the horizontal is a much better purchase because you can get your rods up and out of your face."

"I've got several of these holders mounted on the walls of my garage and they work GREAT! The description says that the vertical holders will not work with combos, but it works fine for me! I've got a few for freshwater rigs and a couple for saltwater rigs. The foam really holds onto the bigger diameter saltwater rods surprisingly well. Definitely a good buy and it looks great on a wall, too!"
