"I bought a planing type bass boat that would not go on plane until 20 mph. Everytime I tried to back off on the speed on plane just alittle below 20 mph the bow would come up. Bought the SE 300 plus screwless mounting kit. Did my quick layout of parts mounting bracket and did not feel that it would be sturdy enough and not fall off during use. I did a hard mount of the hydrofoil which was very easy to do. It is now seculy attached. Iwould not recomend the extra mounting hardware. Not easy to use and will not be securely attached. IT WILL FALL OFF! I now get up on plane at 15 mph and can then back speed off to 10-12 mph. Huge difference. It also make easy steering of the boat. If you are considering buying a new or used bass boat the 1st thing extra I would purchase is the SE 300 hydrofoil. Best investment made so far. Good Luck and Be SAFE!"

Good But Doesn't Age Well,August 24, 2009

"I installed one on my boat (equipped with a Johnson 115) soon after I bought the boat. Definitely helped my hole shot and handling. I did experience the customary 1-2 MPH loss.
Still a very good unit.
I have a partial cover that allowes the sun to hit the hrdrofoil for about 2 hours per day. After about 10 years the coating is gone and the material started to break down; it looks bad and I'm sure is affecting my top end.
I will get a replacement unit."

"Purchased this item after hours of research on the net. Found this to be the most reliable and everything it said it was. super fast hole shot very low plane speed and gained 2.5 mph on top end absolutly no porpusing and no chinewalking. Cavitation was not eliminated but was reduced by 95% If this thing was a LOTTO TICKET I would be a millionare Absolutly the best boat accessory purchase I have ever made If you buy anything else or dont buy one at all you are missin out."

"I installed the SE300 foil with the clip on my Mercury Alpha 1 outdrive hoping to reduce some serious cavitation problems. I have a 22 ft. deck boat with a 4.3 liter motor. The installation was easy and the results are very impressive! Cavitation only happens if I have my trim too high and a minor adjustment gets the boat moving again like a car slipping in snow and hitting a dry spot. What I did not expect was the improved handling and acceleration. Trim adjustments change the boat ride immediately and drastically. I can rise the front of the boat up high in rough water and keep everyone dry even in a loaded boat. My old top speed comes quickly, and tail wagging while moving at low speeds is greatly reduced. This is a great product!"
