Advantages: Comfortable
Disadvantages: Quality

"I have 2 pair of these boots. I bought one to wade in during warm weather and another which is one size larger to wear with my waders. The larger boots split the sides out after only one year use. They are comportable and I like the velcro straps but the quality of the boot is very poor. Should have not torn to pieces after one year use."

Disadvantages: Quality

"This is my 3rd pair. The first pair cracked across the toes. The second pair did the same and the whole sole came off. They last about 2 yrs.
Why would I buy them again? Because they are so easy to put on and get off with the velcro loop straps. You can just step into them and pull the straps over. My bender doesn't work as well as it used to.
REDHEAD keep the velcro and lose the boot. My first pair was $29.99. I would be willing to pay much more for a velcro strap boot of duribility.

Low price, low quality, July 11, 2009
By AddictedAngler from Ohio

Advantages: Comfortable
Disadvantages: Quality

"I had worn the lug soles of these boots for a couple of years before they started to crack. For me 2 years for a fifty dollar boot isn't bad, considering how many days a year I'm in the water. So I opted to get the felt soles as well. They didn't hold up as well. The felt completely separated from the boot my fifth time in the water. I have since glued them back on twice. They are comfortable, velcro makes them easy to slip on and off. But the poor quality of the the felt adhesives don't make this worthwhile. I would buy the lug soles again, but definitely not the felts."

Separation Anxiety, May 4, 2009
By GSHiggs

Advantages: Comfortable, velcro closure
Disadvantages: Quality

"My father-in-law and I both purchased a pair of these at the same time about 3 years ago. We live in Florida, and only get to go on wading trips to the mountains once or twice a year. On our most recent trip to the Clinch River in East Tennessee, (only about the fifth or sixth time each wearing these boots), the entire soles--not just the felt-- separated completely from the bottoms of the boots. Remarkably, when I climbed out of the water to show my father in law the damage, he was sitting there with the same problem. Bought on the same day--fell apart on the same day.

They are fairly comfortable and the velcro is convenient. Really lacking on durability though--spend a little more and get something that will last.

"I've owned these for 2 years. Very comfortable and durable. Felt soles are still 100% in tact. You won't be disappointed. And look how cheaper they are!"

Poor Construction, January 2, 2009
By Hercules52 from Woodstock, ON

"I purchased some of these boots and they are very comfortable and a good design. Unfortunately, they were poorly constructed and made of weak material....they only lasted one month of fishing. Boots ripped near toe cap and bottom strap pulled away."

Quite Functional, November 7, 2008
By BigBass759 from New Bedford Ma

"I purchased a pair of these shoes to go along with the waders that I recently reviewed. They are quite functional, and are easy to get on and off due to the velcro straps. I have felt soles and I have not had any trouble with them. For me they are good enough. I would certainly recommend these to anyone."

Good for the Price, October 25, 2008
By Surfman

"I have had these boots for 3 years. I fish 3 to 5 times a week. They are lug sole so no problem with felts peeling off. I use them in fishing the surf on sandy beaches. The velcro straps eventually get filled with sand and do not slide thru the metal loops. I have to cut the velcro and drain the sand from the straps. These boot go on and off faster that any wading shoes I have owned. They do the trick for me."

Soles pull away from boot, August 10, 2008
By BullC from mid-Maryland

"These boots failed after two seasons of moderate use. The soles pulled away from the boot. You may be able to get longer life out of them by not using your foot to pry off the opposite boot, but still, I think this is a case of "you get what you pay for." I am a big guy and am hard on footwear in general, but these are not "good" boots and will likely not last long for even the occassional angler."

substandard, August 6, 2008

"On third or fourth use the heel fell apart. I slipped and fell as a result of the felt sole becoming detached from the boot heel. I plan to return them as soon as I am able."

Poor Quality, July 28, 2008
By Anonymous from Feasterville Pa

"These are decent looking boots and nice functional design for the price but both soles started coming off after a year of use. I have used them mainly for float tubing so I haven't really been that hard on them. I won't buy these again."

comfortable boots, June 25, 2008
By jdavis22 from Clanton, AL

"I wore these boots in the mountains of North Carolina trout fishing and walked 4 to 5 miles at times without any discomfort. I have bad feet and with my job I am on them several hours a day and with all the walking that I did fishing, my feet barely hurt at all. I felt comfortable walking over the rocks in the river and the only time I slipped was in mud on the bank. The only reason I gave them a 4 is that the felt seems to be starting to wear quickly, but I have done a lot of walking so I can't really complain."

Only one season, May 13, 2008
By bambihunter from Oklahoma City, OK

"I got only one season of wade fishing out of these and the inside under the insole started collapsing. I am 300# so I take that into account, as well as the creeks I fish are very rugged. Overall, I think these are decent shoes and are more comfortable than the lace-up lug-type wading shoes also sold here. I am actually ordering another set now. $40 isn't bad for a years' hard use of a pair of shoes."

great boots, November 7, 2007
By haverodwilltravel from Memphis, TN

"I fish the White River 6 to 8 times a year. These boots dry fairly quickly and are easy to get off and on. For us heavy and over 50 crowd, they are a lot easier to put on and tighten up than the lace-up one's. Might not be as fancy but function and price mean a lot. Much better than my old lace up, pricier boots.
My only recommendation would be the addition of some small cleats on the sole. Might try and add some after market cleats to see.

Wading Boots, June 21, 2007
By WhoDey from Ohio

"I have been using these shoes for over a year now and they have held up wonderfully. They still look like they did when I purchased them even with all the abuse. The Velcro may not be the greatest look, but they make getting in and out of the shoes while wearing waders so much easier. Definitely the best wading boots I have ever had."
