Worth the money, June 9, 2009
By Chefpoet72 from New Hampshire

Advantages: Durability, Ease of use, Quality, Value for money

"As others have pointed out, this thing is worth the money you spend on it. It has more things on it than you'll need, is very sturdy, compact, and easy to use. Even the knife is sharp. As often as I use it, I can't see going with anything cheaper. Truly a great investment."

Wave the only tool for me!, April 22, 2009
By loneranger1947 from Ohio

Advantages: Durability, Ease of use, Performs well, Quality, Value for money

"I would be lost without it! Most of the rest are cheaper but there is a reason for them being cheaper. I have put tremendous pressure on the pliers, twisting and gripping. They held up great. Still straight as it was when new. No, looseness and no side play! Been plenty of times my wife and I have been out and someone needs something done. She simply says to me "give me your tool"! It fits nicely with my suit and tie also. Right on the belt under my jacket!!LOL!
I carry it every where but to the airport!

Great Tool, October 29, 2008
By bsimm78 from Flower Mound, Tx

"I had two Gerber multitools before I ended up with the Wave. My wave has lasted through Iraq, hunting, fishing, camping and minor household repairs. In my opinion, this is the multitool that all others should be judged by."

My Best Friend, October 2, 2008
By Hoytman77

"The leatherman series of muli-tools are flat out awesome. They are tough, reliable and have a million uses. I carry it wherever I go, and it's amazing how much i use it or find uses for it. After realizing how much I like mine, I bought a second pair so I had one in my truck at all times, and one to carry when or wherever. GREAT STUFF!"

Leatherman rules, August 11, 2008
By bubba01 from Robert La

"The leatherman wave is got to be by far the best multi tool on the market i have owned one for about five years i use it for every thing my wife tells every one i would be lost with out it. i even used it to save some ones life a person i know got trapped with a seat belt strap around their neck i used the serrated blade to cut the strap not to many knife blades can do that"

Great multi tool, August 3, 2008
By swiftone from LaPorte County, IN

"Owned the Surge forst. Here is my review on that:

"All in all a great multi tool! I have used a few different models and this one is the best so far. Very functional, accessible, and user friendly. Blades keep an edge and are very sharp. The only slight drawback (and the reason for the 4 star rating) is the leather sheath. It shows wear easily, is stiff, and is kind of a chore to put a webbed belt through. However, leatherman offers a nylon sheath for the Surge on their website. Probably a good investment."

The Wave brings the same great tool as the Surge minus the leather punch. The Wave also weighs less than the Surge which is a big plus for me.

Eat your heart out McGyver!, April 20, 2008
By Dasein from Mobile, Alabama

"I have owned several mutl-tools in the past and none have performed quiet like my Leatherman Wave. I never leave home without it. From work to the woods to the water this tool has been a much appreciated addition to my pack. Just the other day a wire came loose in my buddies trolling motor and without the trusty wave we might have packed it in for the day. I have to say, the tool I use the most has to be the scissors. Absolutely remarkable that these little scissors can stay sharp for so long. If men carried purses this would be the only thing in mine."

Leatherman wave is tops, June 21, 2007
By Carptracker

"I own or have owned at least 5 multi-tools, not counting a couple cheapos that I have been given over the years. The leatherman Wave is the one I keep coming back to. I even wear it in church, we are so inseparable. I like this one because you can access the knife blades one-handed, by dragging the blade out with your thumb. Also, the pliers do not cut your hands because the handles are rounded. You can access the pliers one-handed too, but not as easy as you can with the Gerber or the leatherman super-tool - but on those tools the knife is hard to get at, and cannot be accessed one-handed. Being able to get at a tool one-handed is important if you need to hold whatever you are going to use it on with the other hand. This tool also has scissors, that I don't use very often, but they are nice to have. I would not want to use them for a big project, though - the scissors are not the most robust tool on the multi-tool. Still it is nice to have. And there are a wide selection of different sizes of screwdrivers. The can/bottle opener is quite functional, and better than most, although I do not like it for can-opening quite as much as the really nice can opener on a Victorinox swiss army knife. All of the better multi-tools and swiss army knives have certain advantages over their competitors, (wire-cutting is better with the Gerbers) but this one is the one I wear."
