Great Cot, July 31, 2009
By Huckpott from Cincinnati, OH

Advantages: Ease of use, Quality, Value for money, Well made/Durable

"Purchased 2 of these cots recently and used them over a 4 day trip to Michigan. Was impressed with the light weight yet strong construction. Since I'm a big guy, 340+ this was a must. I didn't have any problems with any "sagging" since i expected to have the middle bar rubbing anyway. This is quickly taken care of with a foam mat, a Thermarest would be an even better impovement. Can't overestimate the importance of a good nights sleep whild camping, and waking up on a flat air mattress is no fun at all. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking foor a cot."

Too saggy, July 21, 2009
By Feck from VA

Advantages: quiet easy to assemble
Disadvantages: sags when in use

"I bought two of these cots that will be returned tomorrow unused. The fabric on the cots stretches too much (with my 124lb wife on the cot) and you sag badly in the middle. Although similar to a military cot, the fabric is not near as tight and unless you weigh less than about 90 lbs you'll sag and hit the middle legs. The fabric does not seem to be of the same type a military cot uses and it stretches too much. The twist feature does work well, the cot is quiet when you move around and the frame seems to be of sturdy manufacture."

Twist Cot, June 28, 2009
By pdenajim from Pasadena, MD

Advantages: Ease of use
Disadvantages: Performance

"I'm a sizable man - 6'-1", 340 lbs. When I saw the new Twist Cot was rated for 400 lbs. I snapped one up for a Boy Scout Summer Camp trip I was going on with my son and his troop. All of the fathers were impressed by the light weight and ease of assembly. The cot was comfortable for the first 3 nights. I woke up the 4th night wondering why the center had sagged down to the middle leg. It had been hot and humid all week so I thought maybe it stretched. I was still fairly comfortable so I went back to sleep. The next morning I discovered the bedding fabric had torn along the frame on one side. From the middle leg out about eight inches towards both ends of the cot. The aluminum frame was holding strong though. I still had 2 nights of camping left and my only choice was a competitors store that was reasonably close by. I purchased a cot from them rated for 600 lbs for the same price. It has a steel frame, is twice as bulky, and twice as heavy. It also stands much higher. The Twist Cot was more comfortable and I would highly recommend it to others that weight 300 lbs or less. As a matter of fact, one of the fathers on our trip said that if I just exchanged my broken Twist Cot for a new one he would buy it from me."
