one good bait caster for the money,July 17, 2009

"this is an extremely good rod and reel combo, although i just pucrchased it to day i still had a chance to try it out, and after bout an hour i only had one back lash, that was either the 3rd or 4th cast, but that was also my fault because i let off the spool to soon after that it didnt take me long to get the hang of it, ive used bait casters in the past but never one like this, i used to not be able to go 10 casts with out getting a birds nest, and that was on a zebco 30/30, but i would highly recomend this rod and reel combo"

"One heck of a deal!!!!! I have used this combo several times and it has performed flawlessly. Throws 1/4 oz baits a mile and without any backlash problems. The rod seems tough and yet sensitive. Perfect for us fishermen on a budget in these tough times. My only negative is the weight of the rod. It seems a bit heavy for us old guys!!!!!"

"i have owned more expensive rod and reel combos and this 1 is by far better...very smooth casting and feels lighter then it really is...anyone who owns a baitcaster should own one of these ive let 5 people use mine and they bought there own."
