"This is the third one of these reels I've bought. I LOVE them. I have a couple of other more expensive reels, Quantum PT Energy, etc... These are much better, in my opinion. Easy to use, no backlashes. I highly recomend."

"Very nice reel. no problems and it's really pretty smooth for the money. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is I recently bought the Johnny Morris Gold Series reel. It's a real bargain for 169.00 but if you don't want to spend that much, this is the reel for you. Don't waste your money on the KVD1000 bait caster. It's junk."

"I've owned this reel for about a year. I used it for the first time about two weeks ago. I was wade fishing with a topwater set up. This reel will cast a mile and it worked real good for speckeled trout. I like it and i'll buy another one."

"Cheap, Cheap, Cheap, Cheap, do not buy this reel. Every part of this reel is cheap and will break instantly. Do not let it break on you with a Lunker on your hook."

"Great Product! I have used this reel for over a year and a half and couldn't be more pleased. It has preformed great in every aspect from jig fishing, crankin, and catfishing. I have mine mounted on a BPS 7ft ML Crankin stick and just love it. I have this reel and an Extreme Series combo and just love to fish them both!

"i bought this reel for the 5.2.1 gear ratio and it was cheap. for the money its ok but backlash does happen, this would be a good reel for begginers but if your expierenced get something diffrent."

"I've heard several people say this is a decent reel for beginners. Wrong! It feels great in your hand but for a beginner I'm not sure it's so great. I'm not sure the braking system even works. This was my first baicaster (I fish alot but I was raised on spinning reels). I almost quit because it was frustrating. I thought it was just me but then I tried using someone else's baitcaster. I did fine.
I recommend buying the Bass Pro Extreme reel for a little extra money (it's on sale right now so buy it). Also try using the KVD edition reel from Quantum or the Bass Pro Rick Clunn reel--both great reels that are more forgiving for beginners.
I bought a Rick Clunn, KVD, and 3 BP Extremes that I love. I don't think I'll ever buy another one of these BP Bionics.
Quick overall review:
Good-feeling reel in your hand. Not very forgiving however. (I would give it a 2.5 if I could but it doesn't deserve a 3)."
