"i weigh 250 lbs and 5'10. Not sure if day one qualifies me to rate this at 5 stars, but day one was a blast and very easy. Plenty of room and a comfortable seat. The seat back is plenty tall for me. I really tried to flip this, but at 50 degree water, was glad I didn't . Carelessness might cause it. Use the Foot rests for Stability. Didn't seem to sit much lower in the water than my 135 lbs son. Takes a few strokes to get it going, but just a few. Good initial stability, and secondary is amazing. I've never been in a kayak until this. Only about 2 minutes, and I felt like a seasoned pro. It seemed very stable. Plenty of storage room for a day on a lake or stream. I'd say a lunch box sized tackle box, rods, and a small soft sided cooler, and still have room for a dry bag and spare paddle. I used a 230 cm paddle. I might later buy a 240 cm to try to keep the paddle drip out. At my weight, it only seemed to take about 4 inches of water to float free. It is very stealthy, and in flat water, I was able to drift up on turtles within about 2 ft. I will not hesitate to use this craft for the day by myself, and look forward to those days. I recommend the xt so you can utilize the stern hatch and cover for storage. I would recommend a lite cart to move or portage it around as it is a bit cumbersome to just pick up an carry. There are no side handles, just bow and stern. xt fisherman came with an anchor and trolley system for the anchor."
