Can't find a complaint., September 28, 2009

Advantages: Ease of use, Performs well, Quality, Style/Design, Value for money

"I bought this last year in the 6000 size, and loaded it up with 10lb mono. I've caught LOTS of nice (15lbs+) dolphin on it, and several smallish tuna. It's never missed a beat.

I use it mainly for casting bucktail jigs at structure while I'm trolling at 6-7kts, so the drag gets a good workout every time I get a strike.

As I write this review, I'm adding the 3000 to my cart. I'm going to load it with 12lb braid, and put it on the same duty my 6000 is on now.

Really a great reel, and a steal if you need something that can take a pounding.

Can only state the facts, July 20, 2009

"I got this a while back, and only used it once so far. i have several symetre and have used a buddys Stella a lot. This reel feels nicer than the symetre, and it did well on the few fish i got in Alabama. i did get it wet on some wave action (surf fishing) and line, and a month later its fine, no noise no corrosion. i did rinse it each time though. the Stella is def. a better reel, but im just not sure if its that much better - its got the same handle for $300 less."

Smooth and Powerful, June 8, 2009

"Great reel for vertical jigging. I havethe 8000 on a Shimano Trevala F and PE4 Daiwa boat braid. I can hammer the drag down and HANDLE some tough AJ's with the Williamson Abyss jigs.
Reel has an awesome drag and the antireverse is Outstanding, absolutely ZERO return.
Not quite the drag capability of the Stella but feels nearly as smooth in comparison and costs 1/4 the price.
Excellent handle as well.
Highly Recommend

"THIS REEL IS A BEAST. IT'S EXTREMELY SMOOTH AND QUIET. IT HANDLED A COUPLE OF 10+ JACKS WITH EASE. I AM CONFIDENT TO BATTLE ANY FISH I COME ACROSS. I DEFINETLY RECOMMEND GETTING A 5000 OR UP WHICH COMES WITH A GREAT POWER HANDLE, THATS REALLY COMFORTABLE."
