"These bad boys are swell. Try the 3.5 inch size on a drop shot rig in some current and catch some fish. When I fish for smallies in my local river on a drop shot in some current, these baits do all the work for me - outstanding presentation that has resulted in some hefty smallies. I had to chuckle at some of the previous reviews that stated these baits catch fish all day long, but I won't buy more because they are not durable. I don't care much if they are only good for a few fish if they catch them. People spend upwards to $100 bucks for a single swimbait that may not produce a single fish, and one bad cast - bye bye $100 bucks. Try them, they work!"

"This bait rocks. My first cast with this bait produced a 3lb bass. this bait even caught a 5lb catfish. you can run it on top like a top water or let it drop a run it at any depth or you can even let it go all the way to the bottom and fish it like a jig. This is an all purpose fish killing machine. Granted its not the most durable lure but you definitely get your moneys worth."

"I used this bait out on the Medina River and recently at Choke Canyon, and I am impressed. The swimming action on this bait is so lifelike it doesn't compare it to any other. "These things paired up with the LFT hooks made for them are magical, they catch bass all day in all conditions. But for the price, these just aren't worth it. After maybe 3 fish, only 1 or 2 if they're decent sized, these things are rendered useless. They tear and just don't stay on the hook. If you've got the money to blow, these are for you. If you're looking for quality, look elsewhere."

"This is a really good swim bait rig it on a jig head or swim bait hook thats texposed just reel it in add a twitch every now and then and you will catch bass

"This is by far the best thing in my box...i take the shad color and dip the tail in some chartruse dye and it is dynoMITE. Just make sure when you fish these you have a slow retreive and not to heavy of a line or you will for sure birdnest being that for the best action id go weightless...you can not go wrong with this lure ive caught several stripers and largemouths when they won't bite on the senkos or crankbaits"

"i absoleutely love the magic shad. it swim jus like a baitfish.2 weeks ago i went to a farm pond where i hunt at i caught 1 5 and a half pound bass its the biggest ive caught a while. my fishin buddy came 2 he caught 3 4 pounders. this is one of my favorite swim baits on the market, thanks lake fork, you made a believer in your magic shad."

"even though these swimbaits don't have that paddletail that every other swimbait has... make no mistake, this is an awesome bait! it is very versatile too! you can rig it up pretty much anyway that you can; dart head, swimbait hook, weightless... i've heard some really great results from putting them on chatterbait heads too! great new addition to my bass fishing arsenal!"

"Sometimes you have to sacrifice that tantalizing action that all bass love for a little bit of ripped up baits and a little extra money. These get torn up pretty quick, but the fish love the swimming tail. When the water goes over the bait, the segments of the tail each move a different way so the bait wiggles and wobbles, a sure fish-catcher. These are different from a lot of other swim baits, in that they can be rigged more versatilely. Weightless with a regular offset hook, or with a normal weighted swim bait hook."

"They call them Lake Fork Shad and they work great at Lake Fork Res. I used them this weekend 12/28/08 and came out with eleven nice Large Mouth using a weedless hook, I can't wait until spring to see what they can really do."

"This is by far the best bait that I have used for small lakes. I fish from a float tube. I park myself on the edge of a weed line and slow ly retrieve this bait weightless. I have had days where I will land several fish over 5 pounds. Definitely a big fish bait."

"An old fisherman on the lake I fish told me to get these and was he right! I don't know if it's the action or that the fish haven't seen this bait before but I caught more quality fish with this than any crank bait or plastics I've used this year. Used a weedless hook and on 10lb mono and let it fall. Most times they took it on the fall. Caught 8 or 9 fish before I got any damage to it. Great action swimming it also. Made my Sunday morning a lot of fun. I used the Watermelon with red flake - goin back for some more."
