"I purchased one of these recently and it is the lightest and most sensetive rod i have ever used. I am 15 and fish some bass tournaments and i need a rod that is super light for those long tournaments. I use the 6'6 medium paired with a johnny morris signiture series reel. I use baits ranging from worms to crank baits and this rod handles them all with ease. I will buy more whenever i can get the money for my shimano reels.
I highly suggest this rod.

"Holy Moley. I had my doubts about this rod since it seems that it may just be a fad. Let me tell ya, I just used it for the first time out at the lake. I have never used a rod that is so sensitive. Of course I have never paid $200 for one either. I should have jumped on the band wagon when they first came out. If you are gonna buy one go ahead and get the Gold series. The cork and the graphite/carrot combo make for a super nice rod. Wish I could buy one for all my reels. Carrot folks should send me at least one free one for this review, hint hint. Bite the bullet and get one for yourself. Now if I could just keep it away from the rod box doors."

"I own 3 of the original 'STX' e-21's, and I like the changes they made with the cork handles, and new finish....WELL worth the extra $50.00! They don't call this a 'Carrot Stix' because it is orange, do a little research, and find out exactly WHY it carries this name. The properties used in the manufacturing of this rod is what makes it THE most sensitive rod you can buy..at ANY price. I have this new model in 7'10" M (which I'm not sure they even offer any more, and a 7'3" MH. I use the long rod for 'Air-Mailing' crank baits into the next zip code, and when I get a strike, the rod loads up from butt to tip, and when it kicks into action, the fish has no chance to get off! I use the shorter one for 'Wormin', and with braided line, I can virtually feel the fish BREATHING on my bait! And for the price, you can get 2 of these gems for the price of many competitors ONE rod! Do yourself a favor, and invest in the best rod on the market...you won't regret it."

"I recently purchased this rod and teamed it with the new Shimano Curado reel. Let me tell you! The whole set up weighs little over 11ounzes! The rod is very strong but it's also the lightest and most sensitive rod I have ever used. It makes anything you throw go farther. You can almost hear the bite vibrate down the rod and can feel the lightest tick. So far, I absolutely love this rod and I hope it gets better the more I use it. e21 really did it right!"
