this pic has about 1/3 of my collection in it.. I have more then 50 JDM High end Daiwas

Advantages: just a totally amazing reel.

"Im a big time Daiwa man I fish nothing but Daiwa reels most JDM reels(IE: TD-ITO's, Pixy's, TD-Z Type R's, Presso's and so on..I own about 15,000 in Daiwa reels I love looking at them as much as fishing them) Anyhow the reel is simply awesome it has the Type R+ Rotor like the TD-Z Type R+ (I like the Type R rotor better that was on the TD-ITO and TD-Z Type R but never the less the R+ is great) ok this reel is LIGHT you handle a 6.5oz reel and its light but the reel is LIGHT it feels like its not real when holding it.. its casting performance is 2nd only to a Tuned Pixy and cast just like a TD-Z type R/TD-ITO and thats amazing.. the reel fishes VERY solid for being so light just as TD-Z's do.. I like TD-Z Type R and TD-ITOs better but I wont buy a used reel and importing those reels from Japan cost and ton and now that there no longer made makes them cost even more to get new and SUPER HARD to find.. but this reel cast and handles almost as good as they do and is much cheaper now I just like the shape of the TD-Z's better (The Zillion is based on the TD-Z) this reel will cast a 1/16oz bait like a rocket and if you get some ABEC 7 Ceramic bearings on the spool casting performance gets just that much better.. this reel along with my Pixys and type R's have made me not have to use a spinning reel because they handle THE LIGHTEST baits with ease.. compared to anything made today the Steez tops them all... trust me if you fish this reel you wont want to fish anything else it really is that good.. the price... well is really good for what you get... I know 480 dollars seems like a lot for a reel but really its not once you have fished it.. Im used to paying 100-200 dollars more for importing JDM ITO's and Type R's for really no more performance.. Slap this reel on a Steez rod or a Megabass or Evergreen stick and have the sweetest combo on the water... just remember once you fish one you will HAVE to have more... and the wife will get mad pretty fast. when it boils down to it theres not a better reel made today simply put!"

"1 word, "PERFECT", I know its $479 but worth the $$$ but dont ever touch one and especially dont touch one mounted on a steez rod unless you are ready to spend at least $800 for the rod and reel combo."

6 Stars, June 22, 2009
By Firstcast from Where Blue Angels Fly. MD

Advantages: Ease of use, Performs well, Quality, Style/Design, light, casts extremely far, performs beautifully under all weather conditions, just an overall great reel!
Disadvantages: extremely expensive

"I have been using Daiwa reels for over 20 years and this has to be the best one I have ever used, so I am giving it 6 stars!....In the 3 weeks I have owned this reel, I have caught over 50 Bass and it has performed beautifully...I have fished with it in the rain, and hot humid temps...and I have found no problems with the Steez...I have read some reviews where some people say that the drag doesn't hold up very well....All I can say is that they are WRONG! I haven't had any problems with my drag being to weak or anything...It's perfect...

I am gettin ready to purchase another Steez in the next couple weeks...They are an amazing, amazing reels....The only drawback is the price...But, it is well worth it....I promise you won't be disappointed!

the steez, June 16, 2009
By eagle1ff from Andrews Tx

Advantages: Quality

"Ok I was a little put off by the price of this reel,
but went ahead and ordered it, Man I am glad I did just that, i have been using another Diawa reel, much older model, a flipping reel,
So anyways, I took that old reel off, mounted this one to my rod, threaded the 17lbs test line through the eyes, tied a lure to it, give it a fling, mild back lash, I am not used to a light tackle real, adjusted both the breaks, give it another cast, away it went almost outta sight,
Talk about long distance casting, smooth operation, and a good drag as well, pulled that bass right out of the lilly pads, on more than one occasion, i would most defenitly order another, and would recomend this reel highly to others, you wont be sorry you did
great product

First in reels, June 4, 2009

Advantages: Ease of use, Performs well, Quality, Style/Design

"I currently own shimano chronarchs, shimano calcuttas. I purchased this reel and I will say it is the best investment I have ever done towards fishing. Don't care what other people state I throw light baits along with 1 oz. jigs and a pleasure to throw. I paired reel with a carrot stix rod. ahhhhhhhhh What can I say but fantastic. If you fish do not, I repeat do not pick up this reel and try, for you will buy one. Going to buy another one next week."

great reel, March 4, 2009
By albin from new orleans, louisiana

"i purchased this reel last month and have only tested it in my back yard. but it outcast my calcutta dc and my revo sx. i just which it came in a left hand retrieve, because it's hard for me to cast with my left. i adapted to it and started casting with my right and then switch hands to retrieve. i love the thing"

Wicked sweet reel, December 15, 2008
By FLAbassmaster1226 from Jacksonville FLA

"I have a total of 5 Steez reels one of these and 4 of the slower speed models.. I have this one rigged on a 6.9MH fast tip Carrot stix and the rig is just silly light the other 4 I have rigged on Steez rods and they are awesome as well! my 14 Zillions are all rigged on Carrot stixs as well! and these reels are awesome by all means the Zillion IMHO is about the same casting and feel of this reel other then weighing more (I do own 5 Steez for a reason tho) they are by far the best reel on the market when you are looking for the lightest smoothest best casting (Also this reel has the Type R spool that used to come ONLY on the over seas "Tuned" Reels like the Pixie type R) and that does make a big diff it adds a easy 20 feet on casting when you want it over lets Say the Zillion or SOL...These reels look like art work too! when you hold it you just know you are holding something special and when you turn the handle it smooth as butter! and when you spin the spool it seems like it never wants to stop! and they stay that way too! in fact after two or three fishing trips they get smoother as do most reels! this reel as with all daiwas high end reels simply REEKS QUALITY!!! if your looking for the best bait caster on the market theres two choices! the #1 Steez #2 Zillion! match one of these super fine casting reels with a high end rod and when you cast it the first time you will know you have something Special in your hand! one more thing! there is no other reel out there the palms like the Zillion or the Steez! the fit the hand SO good it just feels amazing!"
