"I bought a pair of these scissors last year, and I had the same problem with mine as a few other people I know that love and use Rapala products....the screw that holds the 2 blades together kept coming loose. I remedied this problem on mine by adding a drop of thread-lock to the screw, and presto the problem was solved. Well it seems that the folks at Rapala recognized and solved this problem with the new scissors this year!

I love these scissors, and I bought 4 more this year to keep in the boat and in various other tackle bags so I would always have access to one of them at all times. These scissors cut the heaviest of braids easily, something that even the best clippers need 2 or 3 tries to cut. They're also great for cutting open bags of soft plastics along with the plastic blister packs that so many things get packaged in. I also use mine to trim suspend dots, foil & prisim tape and other lure modification stickers.

All around, they're a great tool to have in your tackle box or on the boat."
