Advantages: durable, floats well, colors
Disadvantages: material to tough for setting the hook
"this is a decent top water bait, it above the surface of the water better than the spro frogs so usually you will get more bites but the material on this lure is really tough so its hard to set the hook so in the long run the spro is better only because you can set the hook easier"

Sweet Frog,

Advantages: sweet color, soft and easy to get a good hookset
Disadvantages: hard to walk the dog
"This frog is sweet, i went and tried it out in a lake just to see what it looks like and its sweet, but it's kind of hard to walk the dog. Sweet color and i can's wait to try it out this summer on some hawgs."

"I am a fool for top water frog fishin'. I tournament fish all over the south east. If the lake ain't froze over I am throwing a frog.Frogs are my go to bait when money is on the line.Last week I bought a tru tungsten Mad Maxx frog with the new softer body. It had a littler yellow sticker on it that said New Softer Body. Guys it was incredibly soft and I caught every fish that bit my Swamp Monster color. I am convinced that the softer the frog the more hook ups ya get. This frog is by far the softest I have ever seen and there won't be another frog in my boat. good job TT, ya got it right this time."

"i use this lure at my secret pond in my friends neighborhood. we r the only 1's who fish there, and i can use just about every lure 2 catch bass there. 1 day its kinda scummy so i put this frog on, and i get like 10 strikes, but no fish. i discovered that this frog doesnt collapse. its so hard and the fish cant slurp it down and get hooked. i really would reccommend snag proof bobbys perfect frog instead of this 1"

"I've tried them all. Even some that the pro-shop doesn't offer. this one is almost perfect. love the design. color are great just wish they made one with a white bottom. I find they work the best. One big problem the body is a little to hard so it doesn't give as much for hook sets as some of the others like the Spro frog. this is only a problem for smaller fish the big ones inhale it if you miss them its your fault. With that said it makes it more durable. but the fact that it comes with the rattle and the drain hole make up for this. It would be the best buy far if they made it a little softer."

"Been looking for a frog to compete with the Spro Bronzeye Frog and just picked up one of these Mad Maxx frogs! It is absolutely awesome, the hook-up rate with it is incredible with it's super-sharp double hook. It also never filled up with water which I loved. It walks very easily and is super loud!"

"I recently fished the BASS northern open at lake Champlain, most of my time was spent at the south end of the lake known as Ti (Ticonderoga). I used the Mad Maxx Frog over top of the mats of grass down at ti. The Mad Maxx frog from Tru-Tungsten is truly the best frog i have ever used. Every fish that was able to come up through the mat and get to the frog, i put in the boat. Thanks for making such a great frog Tru-Tungsten."

"The color schemes are great, and this frog casts further than my Spro Bronzeyes and the Bronzeye Popper. However, as someone else mentioned, the body is too hard. I really haven't noticed any advantage to the rattle; this frog seems to draw out just as many bass as my Spro models. However, my Spros catch me a lot more fish simply because the body is more supple. The body on this frog is much harder, which I think is the reason it's easier to walk than my Spros. But, in the end, it's what catches fish, and my Spros catch more, and the only reason I can conjure up is the more rigid body of the Mad Maxxx."

"I am an avid frog user, 50 percent or more of my fish come from frogs or drawing fish out with frogs. Frogs catch you big fish. I absolutely love the color schemes Mad Maxx frogs have come out with. Very convincing. However, the frog body is far too hard and the rattle set up fills in too much of the body. The result, lots of missed strikes! The spro bronzeye frog is much softer and more hollow giving you far more hooksets. It was very frustrating as I had two huge fish absolutely swallow the Mad Maxx frog and I still did not get the hookset! With Spro frogs and bobby's frogs hooksets are easy. I love the colors, tru tungsten has some work to do. I am going to try to bend the hooks out more but then the weeds come into play."

"i just went to my local bass pro the other day and picked one of these up they were on sale for 6$ boy was it a good choice these frogs are amazing they are loud and walking the dog is awesome with the dog with this frog is killer the bass destroy it i recommend this to anyone another great one from tru tungsten"

"The Madd Maxx frog is by far the best frog I've ever used. Its gliding action in the water is absolutely deadly and walking the dog with this frog is a piece of cake. It even comes with its own Tungsten rattles! They included a drain hole so you dont have to squeeze out any accumulated water. I highly recommend this lure. You won't be disappointed with this frog!"

"So i went out and tried this new Tru Tunsten frog and got great results. It was easier to make it walk like a spook and it was loud!!! they must have used the ( Hackney Hooks ) because i foul hooked several and got the fish in. I believe with some more color combos tungsten is on to something better than the Bronzeye!!"

Advantages: more bouyant than others brands, super sharp hooks, it flat out catches them!!!

"If you are tired of your other frogs filling with water or tearing up after a few fish then the Tru-Tungsten Mad Maxx Frog is the frog you need/want!! Try Gremlin or Swamp Monster because the bass will scare you when the ''CRUSH EM''."

"Finally a frog, that won't fill up with water!! Floats high, walks side to side with little effort, and made of quality products. This frog won't tear up after a few fish!!! Great color choices, excellent action from the long thin rubber legs! A must for any serious grass or frog fisherman!"

"On lake Erie you would think small mouth, but we got into the large mouth on the Mad Maxx Frogs. We caught 11 fish over 3-4 pounds in weed mats . One of the best erie trips yet. Such a sharp hook and great hook set. One of the best frogs yet. Thanks"

"I got to take the new Tru-tungsten Mad Max frog out over the holiday weekend to a local lake with a lot milfoil and hydrilla. Wow! what a bait, this frog catches some fish! Thrown with braided line, I managed to boat over 25 keeper fish on this bait. This is a must have for everyones tackle box."
