"Impressive amount of light from such a small package. Extremely durable. Mine has been dropped several times onto pavement, concrete, and into water. This thing keeps going. Indestructible!
Only disadvantage is the price, but for what mine's been through, I've got my money's worth."

"I purchased two of these last Christmas, for my husband and a gift for a hunting buddy. Time and time again while out on hunting trips this flashlight has been priceless! The output of light is awesome and battery life is commendable. I would recommend purchasing extra Surefire batteries and not trying to use other brands, they do not work as well. This year my husband bought me one :) It is WELL worth the money!"

"The surefire e2d led defender model is nothing less than an outstanding flashlight. This is by far the best flashlight I've owned. The quaility is remarkable. The size is great. "I debated on what flashlight to get for an EDC light. I have a couple of G2 LED models that I use for boating / camping but I really love the versatility of this light. The build quality of this light is superb. The high setting is really bright and for all around use the low setting in and around camp is perfect. Love this light. I can't say enough good things about it. Surefire seems to be the standard against which all others are measured."

"The hi low feature is the best. On high you can see well past 100 yards. I sold pelican flashlights for many years and i've got a lot of free samples still in my basment. I've bought 3 of the E2D LED Surefire for myself and family, We carry the Surefire.
My suggestions to Surefire are to also sell a LED head only, without the impact points, to switch out for when you don't want to carry the impact head with it's sharp edges in a pocket. Also a below the barrel clamp mount for a shotgun or rifle to fit this models."

"I have the original E2D Defender from Surefire: it is a superb flashlight and defensive weapon, but I love this new 2-stage LED model so much more. The LED is twice as bright, and the low power output is very useful. The beam is tight, focused and bright with a long throw. It's as rugged as the the original, and I like that it's a bit longer. If you can have only one of these, I recommend the LED."
