The best ever period...,October 12, 2009
By bassman2dayfrom Fort Atkinson, WI
Advantages: Durability, Ease of use, Performs well, Quality, Value for money
"This is simply the best rest out there. Why? ill tell you why. Draw your bow back in a huge situation with a huge buck. Cant hold the bow back, with any other drop away rest down goes the rest and the arrow falls out and clanks around. With the QAD rest it stays up when you let down but when you shoot it is way out of the way. Please spend the money!"

Best rest out there!,August 21, 2009
By camofreakfrom Port St Lucie, FL
Advantages: Performs well, Quality
"I bought this rest to replace my octane rest and am vary suprised with the noise differential. the QAD rest makes no noise and the arrow stays quiet with the fleece material around the arrow holder. I shoot 26 inch arrows with 50 pound pull and 250+ fps. The vanes on my arrow never touch the rest arm when i shoot, hence my shot groups have been greatly reduced. Well worth the money."

The Best Rest On The Market,August 16, 2009
By MikeTNfrom Nashville, TN
Advantages: Durability, Ease of use, Performs well, Quality, full containment- even on letdown, still acts as a drop away, easy timing adjustment on the thumbwheel
"I have been shooting QAD rests for 5 years now. Before that I went through just about every rest out there.
This one is just about perfect.
It is full containment- even on letdown.
It provides the benefits of a drop away.
Timing adjustments are easy with a set screw on the thumbwheel (this feature alone is worth EVERY CENT of the price difference between this and the Hunter or LD models).
It is quiet.
It is reliable.
I have installed and helped others install HUNDREDS of this rest.
I have seen only TWO problems total- the first was a defect out of the box, the second was premature wear from improper setup.
The key to this rest is the timing. Unlike traditional drop aways, you want this rest to come up to the full 90 degree position during the last 1/2" of your draw- NO SOONER. The way it is designed, if it comes up sooner, you actually slow the rest down when it drops- that means fletching contact.
If you set it up properly, you can shoot it on any bow at any speed- PERIOD. Anyone who tells you differently doesn't understand how to properly set it up.
I have set it up on multiple bows shooting over 340 fps with no issues whatsoever. Timing is the key.
If you set it up or have it set up properly, you will never shoot another rest."

AWESOME,July 8, 2009
By Madhunter1125from Magnolia, De
Advantages: Performs well
"I replaced my vane killer Whisker Biscuit rest with this QAD Ultra Pro Rest HD and it is AWESOME!!!!!! I have it on my Matthews Reezen 6.5 set at 72 lbs. shooting 284 fps. and do not have any fletching contact at all. My groups have closed up and speed has increased greatly. I would recommend a pro shop install it, so that it is correctly attached to the down cable. My chord was cut short and run through the cable then burnt on the opposite side and it works perfectly. Can't wait to lay the smackdown on a whitetail this season!"

Great product,May 31, 2009
By IABOWHNTRfrom lakehurst, nj
Advantages: Durability, Ease of use, Performs well, Quality Disadvantages: get extra fleace for launcher it will come off
"I bought this rest to stop the vanes from needing replaced or changing brushes on my octane. Installed myself at the range and within ten minutes was robin hooding arrows at 25 yards and after adjusting the sight can hold good groups out to about 80 yards. Would not recommend the cable clamp on the down cable. I used a draw machine at the proshop and served the release string into the down cable and have run just over 500 shots through it and only problem is the fleace on the launcher is coming off. It is pricey but I shoot every day and will hunt whatever I can to stay sharp with my bow."

Save your money,February 22, 2009
By thehuntspacefrom Southern California
"Works inconsistently. Only drops about half the time. Arrows blow through it to knock the rest down. I would recommend this rest to NO ONE. I've been bow hunting for 11 years and never had a rest perform so poorly. Save your money."

Someone finally got it right,August 27, 2008
By antlersfrom Cincinnati, OH
"In 2007 I placed Trophy Ridge Drop Zones, Trophy Takers and Rip Cords on several X Force bows and a DXT. They all had good points but none covered all the bases until now. I placed the Ultra-Rest Pro HD Drop-Away on my Mathews DXT this month and realized that someone finally understood what I was looking for. This rest is silent, fast to drop clear, silent when drawing the arrow, contains the arrow at any angle, can be let down without the arrow dropping off and was easy to tune. It includes a kit for amateur connection to the cable but I strongly recommend a direct tie to the cable even if you must go to a pro shop for this. It matches the Mathews cammo beautifully and is a perfect addition to a great bow. I love it!"

Doesnt drop fast enough,August 23, 2008
By terminatorfrom australia
"As much as i love the way this works it doesnt drop away fast enough .The lipstik test reveals that my bottom fletch hits .Although i can shoot a 3 inch group at 30 meters, and 5 inch at 40 , i cant help but think it could be a bit better.Any fletch contact has to affect the flight in some way,But now i am sighted in to include this error .Chord adjustment is crucial to activate the drop instantly, and i am satisfied that this has been done correctly. I will be soon testing the new G-5 to see if this can get out of the way quick enough ! This problem is only revealed with speed bows such as my 70 lb X-force."

Rest secure with the QAD Pro HD,August 5, 2008
By christianoutdoorsmanfrom Lapeer, Michigan
"This rest gets the job done. I used to shoot the whisker biscuit like the last reviewer, but after reading numerous articles about fletching clearance I decided I had to get a drop-away. This rest is definitely worth the price tag. It is easy to set up,( I set up mine without even looking at the instructional DVD), drops away perfectly, and contains your arrow. You don't have to worry about a thing when that buck steps into your shooting lane. Your arrow will be right where its supposed to be. Totally satisfied. If you want a drop-away arrow rest you can't go wrong with this one. God bless and good hunting!"

No more biscuit,July 25, 2008
By Christianoutdoorsman2from Lapeer,MI
"After using a whisker biscuit for years, I knew there had to be someway to improve my arrow flight and also greatly reduce noise. This rest does just that and more! My arrow flight is perfectly paper tuned all the way out to fifteen/twenty yards and I still get a perfect bullet hole through paper. Easy to set up, harmonic dampener absorbs an extra amount of noise, and love that I can let down and the arms still stay up around the arrow.
I would definitely recommend this to any archer looking for a full containment rest that gives the great benefits of a drop away all in one package. God bless and good shooting"

Simple and Effective,July 16, 2008
By TrickyBusinessfrom Springdale, AR
"For years I have used the Biscuit type rest with great success, but realize that I was losing arrow speed and at the same time was creating unnecessary noise. So I went o this rest from QAD. WOW is all I can say. This was one of the most simple rests that i have ever setup and tuned. With a reasonable price and such a simple yet effective rest you cant go wrong with this product."

great rest,July 10, 2008
By WHITETAILKINGfrom Union Springs AL.
"My best friend bought this for me and boy was i in for a treat. I originally had a bowdoodle and was satisfied with it but this one made my groups increase by 50 percent i have robinhooded an arrow and split two nocks. My blazer vanes clear fine and it was really easy to install. It and my new bear bow go hand in hand. It is well worth the price. Thanks QAD for a really great product."
