"I used the circle hooks for the 1st time last summer for stripers and blues. They are outstanding! You do not even are to set the hook, just lift rod tip and reel in. The hooks turn in the fishes mouth and stick solid in the corner of their mouth. Great hook for catch and release because the fish do not swallow the hook and short fish do not get harmed. I'm hooked on circle hooks."

"I bought a pack of these hooks when going catfish, gar, and redfish fishing at my grandfathers ranch. They worked great!! Ever since then I've used them for any bait fishing senario and they're the best I've ever used. All of the fish, except the gar, where hooked in the corner of the mouth. They're also extreamly sharp straight out of the package."

"The Gammagotcha Octopus Circle hook is the sharpest out-of-the-box fish hook that I have ever used. I am a catfish fishing guide and I insist that my clients use the Gamakatsu Octopus Circle while on my boat. Many of my clients have never used a circle hook before, but by the time we get to the ramp after the trip, they are converts. I have found that a size 4/0 is the smallest and the 10/0 is the largest hook I use. The size of the bait governs the choice of the hook size used."

"bought these hooks in the 8\0 size to fish in the ocean. all the sharks i hooked were in the corner of their mouths. the only time i lost a shark was when i got my line broke. every fish you hook is hooked really well."
