When money fish are all that matters, you can count on Yum's Money Minnow soft swimbaits to start a big-time feeding frenzy. In addition to the Yum Money Minnow's lifelike finish and proven swimming action, these effective swimbaits feature a unique belly slot allows the hook fit inside making the Money Minnow one of the more rigging-friendly swimbaits. The belly slot also means there is less material to pull the hook through on hook sets. A slow retrieve produces the realistic action required to draw strikes from bass, walleye and other predator fish.

"This is a great swimbait it is very realistic the only downside is it could be a little more durable. But all of the swimbaits need more durability."

Advantages: Performs well, Quality, Style/Design Disadvantages: Difficult to use, Durability
"For the longest time I had given up on these because I could not seem to rig it straight down the middle, causing my baits to swim sideways or barrel roll or something! I finally got on of the 3.5" Bluebacks rigged right on a belly weighted hook, and in 5 casts I caught two little keepers. However, those two keepers were all it took to destroy that bait. So, from that short session, I'd say buy 'em...if you can afford to buy new ones frequently."

Advantages: Performs well Disadvantages: price
"This lure is great for northern pike and big bass. I like to use the 6.5 inch minnow. It has a lightwiggle if you bring it in slow. I gave it a four because the are quite expensive."

great swimbait,August 23, 2009
By BassPro28from Michigan
Advantages: Ease of use, Performs well, Quality, Style/Design
"Used the monney minnow for the first time today. I used the 5" in the hitch color #27 with a 6/0 Gamakatsu 1/4 oz. swimbait hook.
I caught over 25 bass in the river with the biggest being 4 lbs. I only went through 2 baits. I just kept adjusting it after a couple fish and they kept hammering it! I caught fish on back to back casts several times and once caught fish on 3 consectutive casts. Also caught 3 pike on this bait.
This bait is very durable for a soft smimbait and it has great action, easy to rig and runs true."

"great product, for u people up north bye it! i was fishing on lake winnipeg in canada, casted it in murky water by some weeds and they were nailin' it! i got a bite every other cast. i caught 4 pike within the period of 1 hour. i was using the 6" version in a more natural color, not so durable, but definetely worth it. my other takle was a jig hook, for it, 12 pound flourocarbon line, and a 6 foot casting combo, u'll luv this lure. have fun out there!"

Good Big Fish Bait,June 24, 2009
By hkstone
Advantages: Ease of use, Performs well
"Bought these baits and let them sit in my box for over a year. Never fished Swin baits avidly until this year. The 5 " worked very well for me this spring. The durability was reasonable. I caught over 30 LMB in one day one only 3 baits. One of which was well over 6lbs. Need to rig them right and use a screw lock hook."

good product,June 24, 2009
By Croixmanfrom Crofton, MD
Advantages: Ease of use, Performs well, Quality, Style/Design Disadvantages: Durability
"One of my best days this year occurred when casting to a deep water stucture off a shallow point. Average weight 6lbs. Only drawback is the weighted hook pulls through body and splits too easy not true with the berkley hollow belley."

Confusing Swimbait.,June 10, 2009
By Pat16from Atlanta, GA
Advantages: Quality, Style/Design, performs well when rigged perfectly Disadvantages: Difficult to use, Durability
"These swimbaits have some good characteristics and some bad characteristics. I'd like to start off by saying that I have had great success with Yum's Money Minnow. I'd secondly like to say that they can be very frustrating at times. The Money Minnow will not perform correctly unless rigged in perfection. so before you fish this bait you really need to spend time to make sure that the hook is all the way straightened out and there are no flaws in your rig. The bait must be straight on the hook and not crippled in any way or else it will not swim correctly. If there are any flaws than you will find your money minnow on its side or swimming unnaturally. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND using the 5" Money Minnow over the 3.5" because they simply swim better and the only thing that is going to bite that big money minnow is going to be a good fish. When you fish this bait, rig it perfectly so the bait is straight, reel slow and hold on because only something big will bite that sucker!"

Great Swimbait,May 18, 2009
By Bassfishrwfrom Illinois/Florida
Advantages: Ease of use, Performs well, Quality, Style/Design, Value for money Disadvantages: Durability
"This is a great rubber bait in the water! After about 4 casts, I was reeling past a weedline and Wham! I had a huge strike and I ended up with a 7 pound bass! This is an amazing swimbait to be bounced slowy along the bottom or reeled in quickly. The only problem that I encountered with this was the durability."

I m Real delicate,May 12, 2009
By TEJASfrom Texas
"I love swimbaits use them all the time. My only problem with this one is, is that it rips so easily. i have destroyed them just trying to rig them up. The best way i have found to rig these up, without ripping them to pieces, is to slice the belly open and run the hook in that way. other than that they have great action i really like em"

By onthewaterallday
"Great action in the water on a swimbait hook. Caught a 39 inch musky first time using the 5inch bait. Recommend this to anyone who wants to catch big fish. I was worried about durability after reading some reviews but even after catching a musky, it still is usable. GREAT BAIT!"

Questionable Swimbait,May 6, 2009
By BlueWaterAnglerfrom Port Huron, MI
Advantages: appearance Disadvantages: Difficult to use, Durability, pricey for what you get
"Not the best swimbait out there, proves difficult to rig without doing some damage to the bait and does not always work well in the water, any sway to one side or the other and it does not look at all realistic. On the other hand when it's working it looks very realistic, but setting the hook is another challenge with this bait, not impressed."

There are Much Better Soft Swimbaits for the $$$,May 5, 2009
By Rolltide05from Destin, FL
Advantages: realistic Disadvantages: Difficult to use, Durability, Performance, expensive
"Soft swimbaits are my favorite way to fish day- in and day-out and I have tried lots of them. The Money Minnow has a very lifelike action but your gonna PAY for it$ These swimbaits are WAY too soft and tear WAY too easily. You can get 1-2 fish max on these and then its time to replace them. I have replaced many of them without even catching a fish on them. The tails tear easily and once the body has tears in it, good luck keeping the hook in it. At $9.00 for 4-5 of them, depending on size, they are way too expensive. Try the Bass Magic...they are much more durable and less expensive."

Perfect,March 14, 2009
By Duckaholicfrom Rome,GA
"The Yum Money Minnow is a the number one choice over anything in my tackle box. You can run it through grass, stumps, rocks, and anything else out there. You can sling the lure a long way which helps you to cover more ground. The best things about this lure is the fact that it is completely weedless, and you feel almost nothing when reeling it in until that 10 pound wall hanger come up and drills it."
