"I just recently bought this bow, i am only 16 and have never shot a bow in my life. got it because i wanted to start bow hunting and there isnt a better bow i could of bought. i have only been out 3 or 4 times with it already i am shooting very tight groups at anywhere from 15 to 25 yards. still working on getting the rest of the pins sighted in. overall its a great bow for anyone starting or anyone looking to buy a new bow."

"This is an amazing package. I first got into bow hunting by using a Bear that my dad bought back in 1972. It came time for me to upgrade and get a bow of my own. When I first started looking I was not partial to Bear bc of my dad but later found that they are some of the best out there. This bow is fast, quiet, and super accurate. The performance can not be beat for anywhere close to the same price range. When I got it I had Matt at the Nashville BPS set it up for me. I tell ya, he does a great job and knows what he is talking about. I paired the bow up with Easton ST Epic carbon arrows and Carbon Express F-15 broadheads. I can't wait for the season to begin."

"I just purchased this bow after a 20 year absence from Archery. Edmund at Vaughan Mills Bass pro did an absolutely amazing Job with me..Within 30 mins he had The bow sighted and me shooting EASILY a 2" group dead center of the target at 20yrds..In less than 10 arrows..He took the time to give me a couple pointers. He's the guy to see!..I can hardly wait to get out hunting with it. Thanks again!!"

"this is the best bow i have ever owned. i am 15 years old and shooting at 60 pounds. it is super quiet and fast shooting. with in the first month of owning the bow, i won a local archery tournament. this bow and easton axis n-fused carbon arrows are a perfect combination for success in every area. i do not hunt with a gun, i hunt with a bow all year long. this coming season will be the first hunting season i will hunt with it. this is a great gift for anybody. thanks Bear for a great product"

"I am a beginner to archery. This is the first bow I have ever bought, and the afternoon after I bought it, I Robin Hooded an arrow for the first time. BPS tuned it and sighted it in for me. The rest is History. This package takes all of the guess work out for the beginner. Super quiet and super fast according to my buddy who shoots Matthews. Bulls eye on the first shot,January 2, 2009

"I received this bow for Christmas from my wife. After reading the reviews that others had posted on here I thought it was worth a try. When some of the others wrote that it was ready to go hunting out of the box they weren't kidding. My very first shot at twenty yards split the bulls eye. It was also on at 30 and 40 yards as well. It is balanced well and it quiet. I had a nice stalk on a doe the other night, she never knew what hit her. It is late season here now and I am still trying for a nice wall hanger, I can't wait for the rut next year! My friend just bought a Mathews Switchback, and it is a very nice bow, but for the difference in price I think I have more for my money. I mean bulls eyes are bulls eyes."

"i shot on the second week of bow season a buck and then 5 min. later a doe. they both were traveling down the same trail and neither of them herd the thirty yard shot i put on. another person in the reveiws said this bow is deadly at 30 yards... they are not lying. my buck was a 4x4 and scored 143 the doe weight in at 185 feild dressed. this bow double lunged both and passed through both. this is my first year bow hunting. what a great start. i will never trade my bow hunting for shot gun again. thanks basspro for helping me pick such a great bow. and thank you fred bear."

"This is a great bow for anyone. I used a crossbow the first 2 years of my bow hunting career but I damaged my crossbow 4 days before the season. I rushed out drove 2 hours to the nearest BASSPRO and not knowing a lot about what I needed in a compound bow purchased a Lights Out RTS package. The BassPro staff of TN was great in assisting me and helping to get me started. I had not ever used a compound bow and was nervous about starting so close to the seasons opening day. It took me 2 hours to set all of the pins up and I spent the next 2 days dialing in my shooting technique. By opening day I was putting 4 shot groups at 35 yards tighter then I could with my scoped crossbow. The Lights Out is a great bow, it is quite, dependable, and a blast to use. PS I hate to break equipment but I think it was a good move this time."

"When I was looking for a new bow this was in the top 2 and when I shot it, it was the 1. It shoots great and feels great. At 30 yards this bow is deadly. "I bought this bow about 2 months ago and I do have to say that the Lights Out is great for the price. Great Balance, compact so you can get into tight spaces, and very light.
The only thing I found that I did not like was the Whisker Biscuit Arrow Rest. Every time I would shoot it would rip the fletches off of my arrows, that was upsetting.
I would recommend this bow to anyone."

"Incredibly light and compact you would think it would cost much more to produce such a fine bow of this compact size. I shot a PSE, and a Parker to compare with the Lights Out, all in a similarly priced ready to go package. All were fine quality bows and it came down to small subtle preferences for me, but I think the Lights Out gives you more bang for the buck. As quoted below the "Lights Out" is: "one of the best values in the industry, it's also the most maneuverable, lightest, and most forgiving bow in the Fred Bear line-up. At just 30" ATA, the ultra-compact LIGHTS OUT gets you into the tightest places and heaviest cover, while its HUGE 8.75" brace height gives you forgiveness and shootability that twitchy speed-bows just can't match. But don't let the mild manners fool you. The LIGHTS OUT can certainly deliver a devastating knock-out punch. In spite of its silky smooth drawstroke and quiet low recoil architecture, the LIGHTS OUT is a heavy hitter with arrow speeds up to 300 fps. This bow means business.
