Best Swimbait I Have Ever Used,November 5, 2009

"I bought these lure in the Chartreuse Shad color and immediately was having results right out of the box. On my third cast fishing a small ledge in my home river i caught a 28" Northern weighing around 8 or 9 pounds. I was using a saltwater reel I had purchased last summer and the fish was pulling drag out of it! The drag was all of the wat up and it was rated for 16.5 pounds. Then later I had shad literally schooling after this bait and I got the biggest smallmouth strike I have ever seen. I only gave it four stars because like most swimbaits it is a dustmagnet and the bait gets foggy. A great swimbait to order."

"I was having a hard time landing fish with this thing. That is until I cut a slit in the back area and put a treble as a trailer. I'm catching them like crazy now! The last two times out I caught 2 ten plus pound bass and a couple of bowfin around the ten pound range. Only problem I have now is that the big fish seem to fling the bait loose tearing it and rendering it useless. Oh yeah, forgot about the 20" crappie I caught on one as well!"

"I've never been a crankbait type of person because everywhere i go has weeds everywhere. These swimbaits are the answer to my problem, they can go through the heaviest cover without getting snagged. and these shadalicious have the best action i've seen so far. I was hesitant to buy some until i went fishing with my friend who was using them in the blue gizzard color. He landed two 5 pounders and a couple others about 2 lbs. I was throwing luck e strike swimbaits and only got a couple strikes. The action on these shadalicious are better, but you have to pay for it."

"this is the only hollow body swimbait i use. its action is UNBEALIVABLE, the shape an profile is great, an it moves a lot of water 2 draw big bass out of cover, an the best part is, its weedless! i like 2 use the 4 or 6 inch model in the sexy shad color. the best hook 2 use is a 5/0 weighted Gamagutizue EWG swimbait hook. an i have GREAT confidience in injecting scent into the hollow body so when u reel it in its like a scent trail in the water! if you're fishing in or near cover rig it weedless with the hook point skin hooked.if you're fishing in the open or around like boat docks put a trailer hook on the shank of the swimbait hook use a 2/0 trebal hook for best results. good luck an tight lines <><"

"After reviewing plenty of swimbaits, I decided to go with this. North American Fisherman had an article about fine tuning your swimbait. Following that as best I could, I sliced down the belly & fileted one layer off the tail. I think I am using the wrong size hook (4/0) as this has a tendency to swing side to side. Not only that but the bait rips easily. I've gone through 3 already & can't keep it on. My suggestion is use a 5/0 for 4.5" & gut it out. filet the tail a little & get some of that swimbait glue that has no odor to hold these suckers on. The feel of this & the way it looks should produce. Therefore, I give it a 4 star but the durability stinks."

"purchased these in 5.5 and 4.5 inch sizes in the sexy shad color and they produce some quality fish the first one I caught with the 4.5 inch size was 5lbs 11oz. the downside is durability expect to use 4-5 a day if not more."

Not too Shab with a Shad

"Was using this swim bait texas rigged on a swim bait hook. I was fishing pike in several extremely weedy back bays. This bait rigged as described above allowed me to probe shallow and deep weed beds and scattered weeds without snagging. I ended up catching quite a few Largemouth and Pike. When slowly retrieved the hollow belly give this bait a truly life like swimming action. The material it is made of is durable and is still usable after several pike and bass. For the application I was using this bait for it was absolutely DEADLY. Swim baits are the best weedless power fishing bait out there. Here is a Mid sized Pike caught with this bait....."

"I wanted to try swimbaits and started with this one. It was a very slow fishing day in the Delta. I fished a sexy shad color and felt a hit that was like I hit a log and then my reel started screeming. I had just hooked up to my first striper. This bait made a very slow day, a very happy day. The bait took a little time to rig so it would run straight, but after I got it, it ran straight and true every cast. Also even after battling a striper and going through thick weeds, it still looks like brand new. Very durable for this type of bait."

"I highly recommend to have this bait in your tackle box at all times. I caught about twenty bass on it in one day. The swim on it is incredible when you reel it in its like reeling in a spinner bait, there is so much vibration. The only thing I didnt like is I could only catch about 4 to 5 bass on one before it was torn to shreds and I had to use another one. Other than that go get ja some!!!!"
