Super Easy Upgrade,May 6, 2009

Advantages: Design Disadvantages: cost
"I bought a used bass boat last year that was in great shape but was 10 years old and still had the old style ring lid locks. Some were beginning to fail and I wanted to upgrade to a nicer looking and more functional lid lock. I purchased seven T-H Marine lid locks from Bass Pro Shops because they said they would be a direct swap for the old style Perko ring lid locks that I came as oem with the boat.
I installed the seven new T-H Marine lid locks in under an hour to include removing the old locks from my boat and swaping them with the new ones and I am no great mechanic. It was very easy and did not require any modifying holes and was as said a direct swap.
To say that I am happy with the new hardware is a great under statement. They look great and have performed well on my last two fishing outings. I would reccomend them to any one wanting to upgrade from the basic or old style hardware.
Caution-They are locking but would not deter a motivated criminal."

Perfect replacement part,February 10, 2009
By fishfanfrom IL
"My new boat came with 3 lid handles that were very similar to these, except that they didn't lock. Being on a very public recreational lake, I wanted to be able to lock my storage compartments. These lid locks were a perfect fit without requiring any modification to the existing hole. I had mine changed out in about a half hour.
If your upgrading existing lid handles, or adding in some new ones, the installation of the handle and the adjustment of the latch is very easy, and the latch and lock tumbler work smoothly.
Nice product."
