"My state just switched to receipt style licenses and they are easily ruined by water. This holder has kept it bone dry so far in this ice fishing season despite the snow.( and occasional drop on the wet ice) Just for ha-ha's I put a tissue in it and submerged it over night. It came out without a drop. That sold me."

Perfect for an internet license,January 27, 2009

"Many tackle shops that sell license's, print them out on a waterproof or water resistant paper. However, if you renew your license on line at home and print it out on regular paper, then this holder will give you some protection against it being ruined from getting wet or being blown out of your tackle bag or tool box.
A friend of mine used to get his internet license laminated and keep it in his wallet. He then, on many occasions, would leave his wallet in the truck while we were out on the water, and we would have to go back and get it. He got this holder and it allowed him to keep his license right in his tackle bag at all times without worrying about it getting lost or ruined.
My buddy liked his so much, that I went and got one for myself. I keep both my IL & Wi license's in it together, and I haven't lost or ruined one yet!"

"Many states now require that you have your license visible for fish and game officers. I like to keep my fishing license pinned to my vest as I never go fishing without it. This holder is too easy for me to misplace if I use the lanyard. It is quality made and is very visible for states that require wearing in plain sight."
