"I can speak about the white light version; our family has been using three of them during camping trips for the last year or so. Very handy, you can point it to any direction, or clip it anywhere. The hat light comes with spare batteries which I haven’t needed so far because the battery life is very good.
Good for reading o close range use inside the tent or when fishing; not very good for walking in the dark woods or roads. I agree with other reviewers, the 4 LEDs don’t make the light brighter than the 2 LEDs."

"We bought this cap-light on April 19 in the LV store. Upon our return home, a piece broke off the light so that it would not clip on anymore. I returned the light via USPS to the LV store as instructed, and received EXCELLENT customer service from B. Moore in Shipping/Receiving when I called to find out about a replacement. I mailed it back on a Friday, and by the next Wednesday (when I called) a replacement light had already been sent to us. We received the new light that Saturday. Very, very excellent customer service!"

"I bought this light on the day after thanks giving sale 2 years ago. I like the fact it clips on with ease and that rotates. But the light itself doesn't perform well. I have used it on early duck hunts and frog gigging. Its just to dim for the job I'll be keeping it as a back up."

"very poor light level and battery life. If you want to read a book with this light it probably will work. If you want to walk through the woods with it don't count on it.

"I own 4 types of LED Lights and this is the worst of the lot. I night fish and only used this light 2x before it was tossed into my tackle box to stay. Light quality is only good for a couple feet at best, and the 4 leds aren't any brighter than having just 2 lit up.Like I said, it's the worst hat light I've ever owned!! Don't waste your hard earned money on it!"

"Not just for fishing!!! I have bought many different styles and sizes of hands free lights over the years and this one is great. The Green LEDs are extremly bright. I use them mainly for Deer Hutning and when it is cold the other clip ons won't clip to my stocking cap, this one has enough adjustments that it can clip on anything. I highly reccomend it and I will be going back to buy more for gifts and for my kids to use to read in the car on roadtrips."

"Got this for night cat fishing. Got it for 7$ in a sale bin at BPS store. This thing is bright! I can check my line tension in pitch black! The clamp has little teeth to hold onto your hat with, which is my favorite part. And you know it has a long battery life because I left it on all 4 lights overnight and it was still bright! And it comes with 2 additional batteries! GET THIS!"

"Very functional light. You can maneuver the light to whatever direction you need. Its 360 degree rotation and up and down direction keeps you from having to adjust your head to see, as with other clip on cap lights. The light is bright enough to see a good distance in front of you. There are two settings- 2 lights or 4 lights. The 4 light setting doesn't make the light any brighter, but the 2 light setting is sufficient."
